Looks pretty good, but I'll echo that the silver needs to be a bit less intense.

I think they mean the silver header bars.

Also, Jeff Jones, we have a thumbs up and thumbs down smilie. Click on the 'View more Emoticons' button for the full list of them. I think the forum software only supports 20 up front, but no limit to those on the clickable link.    

Oh, and Mike, even though I've been a subSilver fan ever since we fired up the forum here at CG, I do have to say, I love subBlack. Excellent work!

subSilver is the default theme that came with the PHPBB software, so he didn't have much to do with it

I also completely missed the "more smilies" link.

Those bars are the thing, combined with the yellow text it's pretty much unreadable.

Overall, taking the brightness of any/all silver down a notch or two(maybe a kind of 'dirty' silver) would take care of the rest.

Edit - oddly enough, the links in my sig are a different color, yet the 'click here to see your thread again' doesn't have that feature.

one small comment though...
the white text on silver bars can be a little hard to read if the text is small.  for an example, look at the last silver bar at the bottom of a thread...you can barely see the words "Display posts from previous" before the option boxes.  that's a very minor issue though...otherwise a great theme.  thanks mike!

Jeez, it's like a present day version of Battlestar Galactica around here.  The "ragtag fleet" of old GG'ers are heading to planet Console after planet Gone became...well...Gone.

Thanks for accommodating us KD.  It almost makes me feel bad when, about two years ago, I told you I didn't like Suikoden III because I had a thing against the anime style graphics of Japanese RPG's, and you kept telling me to give it a shot and it would change my mind (at least, I THINK that was you).   :lol:


Anyone have any definitive answers on the fate of gonegold?  I'd like to know Rich is okay.

Nothing certain yet.  We could find out any time, but it is possible we won't have anything concrete for several more days.

Thanks blackhawk.  I'm not angry about the site going down, just concerned.  it's just really unlike rich and his gang and makes me think something happened that was beyond their control or a bad incident.

Maybe it's just me, but I can think of a lot of reasons Rich might need to make a clean break from Gone Gold.  Now that we know Rich is ok, I'm happy to assume that it was a decision in Rich's best interest until we hear otherwise.

I'm grateful to Rich for everything he did for me and the community.  Best of luck Chief.
