Seems J.K Rowling has tried to do a Stephen King/Richard Bachman number.....but the secret has come out more or less straight away

J.K Rowling released a Book back in April called The Cuckoo's Calling under the pen name of Robert Galbraith

J.K Rowling is said to of wanted to of kept the secret going for a little longer as it was liberating not having the book need hype or expectation,of course within hours after this story broke the book that originally sold 1500 copies, has now been reported by Amazon to have sales up of 500,000%

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-23304181

Apparently the press were suspicious because it did not read like a first time author,of course it wouldn't surprise me if someone leaked the story to get the press and the sales

Just looked on Amazon.co.uk and there is already a collectors edition for sale for 245,LOL

The US cover is entirely different.

I don't know which is more appropriate for the story, but I like yours better.

that makes it look like a cheap romantic novel that I wouldn't give a second glance to.

The title, nor the cover (either version), make me want to buy the book. Maybe that's why it only sold 1,500 copies?

That said, I do not like JK's writing style and would be even less likely to read it now. So no chance in hell +1.

I am J L Rowling. You all should really go buy all of my books before I'm outed. Right. Gotta run and work on a new Harry Pothead book.

It did it appears. What is strange is how many people talk about the author (for it being an unknown). The book seem to be hyped in some way as it being some great new writer.

Well, I lurrrrve the Harry Potter series and I haaaaaaated The Casual Vacancy, which was just so mean and cynical, and worst of all, boring. Hopefully, this one will be a good return to form.
