Had it done years ago myself after my second child, the only bit of advice I have is for surgery prep. You have to shave, just dont try it with an electric razor...... Lets just say I had little bleeding bites all over my sac...

You don't have to shave anymore.  At least, I didn't.  I asked the nurse prior to my appointment if I was supposed to shave the ol' coin purse and she said it wasn't necessary.

I'm a total glutton for punishment.  I had it done, and then had it reversed

The original was the "No-Scalpel technique", which was very simple.  No general anesthetic, local only.  My only regret was not taking the pre-op sedative.
The reversal was microsurgery, therefore done under general anesthetic.  It worked, but it was definitely the worse of the two.

I joined the VIP club about three years ago.

I also had a local but unlike others here I remember mine hurting like hell.  The injection felt like the worst kick to the nuts I've ever had.  Other than that it was fine and i watched the whole procedure. 

I was in the Keys snorkling two days later but definitely felt a little off down there for a few days.

I do have to add that I had sharp pain a few times while shooting man juice in the months that followed but nothing since.  No regrets.
