Can't hurt to make sure it's satisfactory before the official toast.  Hark, Kato, and I will be doing the same with everything we have on hand tonight in preparation for tomorrow's toasting event.

I expect the economic activity brought on by this party to single-handedly revive the economy.  Either that or open up a new fault line in the greater Phoenix area...

Definitely a lot of fun. Pete and his wife were great hosts.

I thought it was really nice of Ron and his wife to present Kato with a signed copy (by everyone at the party) of Saints Row 2

The glow that emanates from him causes all pictures to show only glare. You would need to equip your camera with welding glasses.

The closest anyone was able to get with a camera only allowed for a view of the party's location.  Anything closer damaged the lens:

SRSLY. If you there were no pictures taken then you guys have let the community down.

The party was for Kato.  Most should be concerned primarily about whether he enjoyed himself as the party was in honor of his service to our country and to celebrate his safe return.  As hosts we were more concerned about letting Kato down, not the community.  My wife and I were focused on welcoming so many new faces into our home, ensuring that food and beverages were not in short supply, and doing our best to help all have as much fun as possible.  We did our best and unfortunately taking photos slipped our minds as we entertain on a regular basis and taking photos is never part of the formula.

Rumor is that Kato managed to flash a few photos before his camera was confiscated as I have already been threatened with blackmail material.  Half of a bottle of Pendleton Canadian Whiskey and a 12-pack of beer can sometimes have such an effect.   ninja

I plan to at least post a summary of the weekend experience, which included a fabulous dinner, dim sum, parole officers, drinking like bear, breaking Kato's alcohol consumption record, sleeping on the dog bed like bear, PetSmart, MoosNukle's first date with her online boyfriend, an odd correlation between Johnny B. Goode guitar antics and improved Rock Band performance, Knightshade's attempt to abscond with Simba in his Rock Band instrument suitcase, LOTS of football, asshole chants, internet theft, even MORE football, Chinese food, and more Bon Jovi than ever thought possible.

On, and DamageInc?  While the Chick-A-Fil platter was popular at the party, unfortunately overshadowing your pasta salad (I was SO excited for leftover chicken to nurse my hangover but it was gone before Hark's first set of Rock Band  icon_eek), I will say that today Harkonis and I discovered that it is the best mother-effing pasta salad I have ever had.  We each ate five helpings worth over the course of today while relaxing before Hark's flight.  Seriously.  Five helpings each.  I'm going to need the recipe as we're normally not big fans of pasta salad because it's typically heavy on the dressing, but I have to honestly say that I have never had better.  Amazing.  Dare I say, even fabulous.

Apparently you can learn valuable skills while incarcerated.   icon_wink  Summary to follow when I have a little more time.

Some pics from the party:

PeteRock (Johnny Be Good Masta Playa)

Harkonis (Rock Band Maestro)

DamageINC (Loyal Raiders Fan and Snack Bringing Genius)

Zero (Doubling the Asian Population in Phoenix)

Knightshade Dragon (The Man, the Myth, the Legend)

I had a fantastic time  thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup  The PeteRock family are the most fabulous hosts.  Seeing everyone that could make it was great!

The only thing that could have made it better was if the 49ers had won the game..... disgust damn Eagles.  I had to endure that crazy-ass fight song sooo many times.   slywink

I'm keeping this kind of short for now, I'm still a little tired from that weekend.  But all in all it was great food, great company, a great time.

Kato (Drunken Drinking Master of Many Drinks and Beer and Liquor and.....)
