my dad's GF has what i consider to be one of the worst pieces of horrid musical vomit as her 'calling in' song, you know, the one that plays in your head when you call her.  to make matters worse, my dad has one too, and he never even has his phone on him when he gets home, so you have to call her to get a hold of him.  

what is this pile of garbage you ask?  i'd tell you, but i have been very successful getting it wiped out of my head today and wouldn't dare thinking about it.  it's one of those "i'm coming out as a lesbian" theme songs you hear plastered on easy listening radio trashcans (and their commercials).  now there's a genre worth wiping out wholesale.

Here it is, the song that will stay in your head for days:

And the sad part is, the reason it sticks in your head is the music video. The guy playing the saxophone riff in the middle of the chorus, standing in a car wash, that's what gets me every time. And the song isn't that bad.

Also, Billy Ocean did the english language a disservice by choosing to not pick a single pronunciation for "Carribean" in Carribean Queen. He slams both pronunciations together.

Random fact: Cannibal has the same lingusitic root as Carribean.

that Bryan Adams song i didn't mind,but it was another that got pumped into my head at every opportunity from radios stations etc,it was at number 1 here in the UK for about 17 weeks i think

I am going to come right out and say it. I like Ace of Base, including The Sign. I've got their first two albums and their Greatest Hits collection. They are so serious in their cheese that I can't help but find them fascinating. I also love Abba though, so I think I have a thing for bad Swedish club music.
