Ok, level 6 tauren warrior. I am still using this gay hammer... I see axes and swords around, but all say I am not proffecient. I went to weaponsmaster in thunderbluff, but he just trains for guns and staffs?
So how the hell ya use a sword or axe in this game? There a weapons master I am missing, or are tauren not alloed to use them or what?

That's strange. Seeing as how you're a warrior, you should be able to use one-handed swords and axes. Sure the ones you are seeing aren't two handed weapons? If not, your other option is to head to the Orc or Undead capital city and try the weapon master there. Each one teaches different weapons, but remember that each weapon costs 10 silver to learn.

yea, the ones I want to use are two handed...
they sell them at the newbie village...
Why cant a warrior use two handed weapons? The hammer is two handed...
Where do I need to go and learn this?

Alright, fine I guess you have paid enough penance for calling your hammer "gay". Seriously though, come on, at least find an innovative way to insult your weapons.
Anyways, different trainers at different cities train different weapons. So you may need to go to the next big city to get the upgrades you need-10 silver each.

Nice mace there. How are you liking/disliking the paladin class?

I thought they were fun and I'm looking forward to playing one in open beta. Though now with undead players being targeted as humanoids I doubt I'll be pvping as much in retail.

Hey Ascendent, you know we can see your name on the left side over there right? hehe sorry, just like to pick on people that "sign" their names. Anyways, thats an awesome mace. Be on the lookout for a super mace that makes that one look like a back scratcher in the Deadmines...although unless you find a high level group you need oh...3-5 more levels before you venture in.

To learn different weapon styles, you have to go to different weapons masters. Yes, even as a warrior.
For instance, Orcs/trolls start out with axe and 2 handed axe; undead starts with sword and 2 handed sword, tauren starts with mace and 2 handed mace.
To learn Sword/2handed sword, go to UC (Undead cap city), go to the weapons master. 10 silver to learn. To learn Mace/2handed mace, go to Thunderbluff (Tauren Cap city), weaponmaster, 10 silver per skill to learn. Learn guns and staves there too. To learn Axe/2handed axe, it's Orgrimmar (orc cap city) OR Sen'jin village, 10 silver per skill. Also trains bows there.
Similarly, Stormwind can train swords, Ironforge Axes (and maces, I think). Darnassus you get spears and bows. Haven't brought up a newbie warrior alliance side in a long, long time, so I'm not sure.

BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! No, seriously, 8Ball is pretty much the acknowledged master of warriors. If you have questions, he is the guy to ask.

Ok, I made it to Ogrimm, got a axe, and trained for a bow too, but cant afford one, heh. Thank you for the tip.
Eightball, is it best to use different weapons? Like shield/axe sometimes, then two handed axe other times? I am not sure which is the best way to go. Also, what about stances? I dont see anywhere to train for other stances. I am not sure if they are needed or not, but see I need defencive stance to train something I think.
I wanted to use the bow to pull with, seems like its sort of needed sometimes.
Anyways, thanks for the tips.

Ok, I did a quest for a orc, and got defensive stance. Heh, now I am not sure which stance is "better", lol...
One more question if you dont mind. My wife is a priest. How the hell do I taunt a mob off her? Is there a taunt ability or something?

Taunt is a defensive stance ability. Use that :-)
I think you can train it at a Warrior Trainer once you have defensive stance. Just target the mob and taunt and hit it a few times and taunt again if it didn't work the first time.
Mocking blow works in Battle Stance to get the mob off quickly but for a limited time. Follow up with a switch to defensive stance, build up some rage, and taunt.
