Quick Question.
I'm a level 14 Night Elf Hunter and I'm wondering where I would purchase a hat/helmet to wear?
Any idea?

I don't know about the alliance side, but on the horde side there just really aren't any hats or helmets available until higher levels. Don't know how high of levels, but I haven't seen any yet and I'm at 20.

Maybe that is why I haven't seen any.
I saw a hunter with a hat on that looked like Kung Lao's hat from MK. It was nice looking.

Yeah, head gear is reserved for higher levels. Something of a visible status symbol. I'm sure someone else would know for certain, but I believe you start getting headgear in your 30s depending on luck and class.

I know shoulder armor doesn't apear until around 16-20 or so.
I would imagine helmets and hats are another item that doesnt' appear until higher level.
The lowest level headgear I found on thottbot was level 24. There are some level-1 required helmets, but they drop from level 30-40 critters and are bind on pickup

I ran a quick search for "hat" and "helmet" on thottbot -- looks like the earliest hats are around the late 20's, and the early helmets are in the mid-30s or so. Guess we'll have to wait a while. On a happier note, I did get my first ring from a quest the other night.

You could always get your engineering to 200 and wear these... http://www.thottbot.com/?i=1370Though they look dorky on a Tauren.

At lvl 31 Undead, I have not seen a single hat/helmet for sale, unless it's at the AH. I got mine as random loot.

You cant get a craft skill over 150 until you reach level 20. You cannot wear 'shoulder' pieces until level 17, and I believe the lowest level headgear would be level 24.

Are you sure about the shoulders? I’m a tailor and I’m almost sure I had made myself shoulders by 15.
What about the face cloths I see people wearing? I’m a 23rd level rogue I want one too!

The lowest level shoulder pads I've found (one on drop and one in the AH) was a Leather level 15 that added 50 Armor and nothing else.
I've just recently been starting to use the Auction House more often and I'm finding that it is an invalueable resource when trying to find specific items or things that may not drop until later levels. And it's a great place to sell your unuseable but higher level drops (for instance I can't use Mail as a Hunter, but that doesn't mean somebody else won't pay good money for that awesome set of pants I found).

Gah, I hate those face cloths, mostly because everyone wears them. Anyways, not sure if they're available for Horde, but for Alliance they're found in Westfall mostly on any of the Defias mobs.

Where are all the troll masks?! If they would make one like the Troll hero had before they ruined his art, that would be sick.

Unfortunately not me, I play on Blackhand and I am not currently using "Abaddon" for any of my characters. It's a fairly popular name though in MMORPG.

On the Horde side I have only seen hats\helmets that are 40+ in levels. If you can't find one you can purchase them in the auction house. But again you at least have to be level 40 first.

Whisperwind, Horde side; I got a headband as a drop in Hillsbrad, with some *very* nice stats at level 31. Doesn't look too nice, but quite functional.
