I'm sure that everyone has seen this really cool program. I've probably spent about as much time messing with it as some COH players spend designing their costumes.

So let's post some builds!

Personally, I use Thottbot for all of my WoW needs, but to each their own. biggrin

As for my Hunter build, there are pretty much only two choices:

Marksmanship Mastery
Improved Concussive Shot   Rank 5
Lethal Shots   Rank 5
Aimed Shot   Rank 1
Improved Arcane Shot   Rank 4
Mortal Shots   Rank 5
Marksmanship Total:   20

Beast Mastery Mastery
Improved Aspect of the Hawk   Rank 2
Endurance Training   Rank 5
Improved Aspect of the Monkey   Rank 3
Bestial Swiftness   Rank 1
Unleashed Fury   Rank 5
Thick Hide   Rank 2
Improved Mend Pet   Rank 2
Ferocity   Rank 5
Frenzy   Rank 5
Spirit Bond   Rank 1
Beast Mastery Total:   31

Or:

Marksmanship Mastery
Improved Concussive Shot   Rank 5
Lethal Shots   Rank 5
Aimed Shot   Rank 1
Improved Arcane Shot   Rank 4
Mortal Shots   Rank 5
Scatter Shot   Rank 1
Hawk Eye   Rank 3
Improved Scorpid Sting   Rank 1
Ranged Weapon Specialization   Rank 5
Trueshot Aura   Rank 1
Marksmanship Total:   31

Beast Mastery Mastery
Improved Aspect of the Hawk   Rank 2
Endurance Training   Rank 5
Improved Aspect of the Monkey   Rank 3
Bestial Swiftness   Rank 1
Unleashed Fury   Rank 4
Ferocity   Rank 5
Beast Mastery Total:   20

Yes, the Survival Tree is next to worthless for a Hunter (unless you're PvP, at which point this tree has some use). You're not a melee fighter. Period.

But the two builds above will slaughter in PvE. Keep in mind though that the one focused on the Marksmanship tree will make pet aggro an issue. You'll simply out aggro your pet, at which point your DPS will drop by a ton (as you're not shooting). Why I'm personally using the one focused on my pet.

My plan for my rogue at 60 is :

Assassination Talents (30 points)

# Improved Eviscerate - 3/3 points
Increases the damage done by your Eviscerate ability by 15%.

# Malice - 5/5 points
Increases your critical strike chance by 5%.

# Murder - 2/2 points
Increases your chance to hit while using your Sap, Ambush, Garrote, or Cheap Shot abilities by 5%.

# Ruthlessness - 3/3 points
Gives your finishing moves a 60% chance to add a combo point to your target.

# Relentless Strikes - 1/1 point
Your finishing moves have a 20% chance per combo point to restore 25 energy.

# Lethality - 5/5 points
Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Sinister Strike, Gouge, Backstab, Ambush, Ghostly Strike, or Hemorrhage ability by 30%.

# Improved Instant Poison - 5/5 points
Increases the chance to apply Instant Poison to your target by 10%.

# Cold Blood - 1/1 point
When activated, increases the critical strike chance of your next Sinister Strike, Backstab, Ambush, or Eviscerate by 100%.

# Seal Fate - 5/5 points
Your critical strikes from abilities that add combo points have a 100% chance to add an additional combo point.

Combat Talents (8 points)

# Improved Gouge - 3/3 points
Increases the effect duration of your Gouge ability by 1.5 seconds.

# Improved Sinister Strike - 2/2 points
Reduces the Energy cost of your Sinister Strike ability by 5 Energy.

# Improved Backstab - 3/3 points
Increases the critical strike chance of your Backstab ability by 30%.

Subtlety Talents (13 points)

# Camouflage - 5/5 points
Increases your speed while stealthed by 15%.

# Opportunity - 5/5 points
Increases the damage dealt when striking from behind with your Backstab, Garrote, or Ambush abilities by 20%.

# Improved Ambush - 3/3 points

Just the "standard" backstab/ambush build, and I use only dual daggers.

Sword Specialization and Improved Backstab?

You can't backstab with swords, so I assume you must use a sword in your offhand?

make that 4/5 and take Vigor for goodness sakes. add 10pts to energy... you already reduce your sinister, you may as well have more energy to do stuff faster. ^^

I haven't gotten technical with my talents at all, and doubt that I will.  As a lvl 43 hunter (currently) I'm pretty much just putting them into Marksmenship and Beastcrap in a 3:2 ratio.  I can do some massive damage with my bow, and my pet does pretty well, too.

This is my build I am using for my 60th level priest. I wanted to balance my spec out to have some good PvP tools, be a decent PvE instance priest, and a decent PvE soloer.

This build accomplishes that I feel. The price I had to pay for it was limited points spent in the Discipline tree. I miss out on the big talents there that have a big impact on mana pool (mainly 10% increase to mana pool and 10% mana reduction on insta-cast spells).

Discipline Talents (8 points)
Unbreakable Will - 5/5 points
Improved Power Word: Shield - 3/3 points

Holy Talents (22 points)

Improved Renew - 5/5 points
Spiritual Healing - 5/5 points
Subtlety - 5/5 points
Improved Flash Heal - 2/2 points
Improved Healing - 3/5 points
Improved Prayer of Healing - 2/2 points

Shadow Talents (21 points)

Spirit Tap - 5/5 points
Blackout - 3/5 points
Improved Shadow Word: Pain - 2/2 points
Improved Mind Blast - 5/5 points
Mind Flay - 1/1 point
Improved Psychic Scream - 2/2 points
Improved Fade - 2/2 points
Silence - 1/1 point

So far, this build has served me well. If Battlegrounds end up being the place I spend most of my time, I will probably keep this spec. If not, I will dump most or all of Shadow and put those points into Discipline.

No offense meant, but isn't it a little silly to build your character for the Battlgrounds now?  Wouldn't it be a lot better to build him exclusively for PVE right now and then pay for one respec once the Battlegrounds actually see the light of day?  I just can't see spending a couple months with a talent tree that you don't feel is as good as it could be for your current situation.

I would rather have a straight PvP build which is a bit inefficient in PvE, just so I dont have to respec.  Well, I am on a PvP server, so that is always something that can happen at any time: it never hurts to be ready to throw down.

This is my planned level 60 Hunter build, which I've been really happy with so far (now at level 40):

Beast Mastery Talents (16 points)

Improved Aspect of the Hawk - 5/5 points
Endurance Training - 2/5 points
Improved Aspect of the Monkey - 3/3 points
Bestial Swiftness - 1/1 point
Unleashed Fury - 5/5 points

Marksmanship Talents (21 points)

Improved Concussive Shot - 5/5 points
Lethal Shots - 5/5 points
Improved Hunter's Mark - 4/5 points
Aimed Shot - 1/1 point
Mortal Shots - 5/5 points
Scatter Shot - 1/1 point

Survival Talents (14 points)

Precision - 5/5 points
Lightning Reflexes - 3/3 points
Improved Wing Clip - 5/5 points
Deterrence - 1/1 point

You're not a melee fighter, but it doesn't hurt to plan for what you're going to do when the mob/player closes on you.  The big thing for me to grab in Survival was Improved Wing Clip, which gives you a 20% chance to stun when you max it.  That gives you a pretty decent chance to escape back to range when you get rushed.  The dodge chance increases are also a big help no matter what the situation.

That said, I may, at some point, play with the beast mastery build.  I was tempted to do so when I was working up my plan, but I wanted to try my current build first.

Legitimate point.

As noted, this is also a good build for PvE soloing, which I still do some of as I work toward 900 gold for my epic mount (halfway there currently).

And while battlegrounds are not out yet, there is still some PvP action happening on my server (regular server type). So I can hone these skills in preparation for battlegrounds.

It also seemed that Battlegrounds will be coming sooner rather than later. Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but until i get a hard date one way or the other, I am not going to blow the gold for two respecs until I get my epic mount.

Also, I am still not convinced that my spec is not "as good as it could be for my current situation" in regards to PvE instance play. smile

I have not done the "pennacle" of 5-man PvEing yet (completing Stratholme and Schoolomance) and perhaps my build will not cut it in those places. But for now, (10-man runs of Strath, School, UBRS, 5-man runs of BRD/LBRS), this build is working out great. I notice other priests have more of a problem with agro on raids when the crap hits the fan than I do, thanks to my Improved Fade 2/2. Plus Silence does come in handy in helping pull caster mobs toward the group.

Ah, I don't know crap about priest talents or anything, I was just going off your statement about not getting the big talents that have an impact on mana pool.

No problem. If the groups I am in every start getting consistantly wiped and I think "Damn, if I just had 15% more mana we would have made it", then I will seriously consider respeccing for the time being.

Between the normal Wing Clip (50-60% slow), whatever the standard Hunter power is that kicks you out of combat and attempts to make you lose aggro, my pet's usual taunt, and Spirit Bond (every time the pet hits, you gain 20 to 40 health), I've found I've never had any problems at all in one on one PvE fights.

Heck, even now at 43, I can still take on 3 same level cons and get away with it living and victorious at the end.

As I said though - PvP is another matter entirely.

Here's what I'm going with so far.  Currently level 33 Rogue.

Combat Talents (33 points)

# Improved Sinister Strike - 2/2 points
Reduces the Energy cost of your Sinister Strike ability by 5 Energy.

Increases your Dodge chance by 3%.

# Deflection - 5/5 points
Increases your Parry chance by 5%.

# Improved Evasion - 2/2 points
Increases the effect duration of your Evasion ability by 4 seconds.

# Riposte - 1/1 point
A strike that becomes active after parrying an opponent's attack. This attack deals 150% weapon damage and disarms the target for 6 seconds.

# Dual Wield Specialization - 5/5 points
Increases the damage done by your offhand weapon by 50%.

# Mace Specialization - 5/5 points
Gives you a 6% chance to stun your target for 3 seconds with a mace.

# Blade Flurry - 1/1 point
Increases your attack speed by 20%. In addition, attacks strike an additional nearby opponent. Lasts 15 seconds.

# Aggression - 3/3 points
