Geez. Wow has been down since about 3:30pm PST Dec 22nd. It's now 6:45pm PST. No sign that things are getting better. In fact, the forums are mostly down too. Sigh. Had to happen on my day off too....

I managed to get a couple hours in earlier today but evidently I logged out about an hour before they all went down. Of course today is the last day I have to play until Sunday (because of the holidays, etc) so of course there will be problems It's now 10 EST and I still can't get in.

And... through all of this there has been no ETA at all... shades of EQ with a scrolling banner saying it would be up ASAP, but there was no ETA yet.

I've had a chance to read my realm-specific forum. Even though it is a low-pop server, there is a nice little community brewing. Now I'm all amped to go out and actually do a little PvP. Viva la Horde Baby!

Looks like a login server problem again. Service seems to be rather sporadic (like I could get on fine for 5 minutes and then nothing).

I'm not able to get in either. And I can't post on the forums as those login servers are down too. I only have a half day at work tomorrow, I hope it gets fixed.

I am pretty miffed too. I do not understand what can take so long to fix. I don't know a lot about server maintenance, but I can't recall having such long unannounced downtimes in past MMO's I have played. WoW is a fantastic game, but the servers being borked a lot puts a damper on things.

I logged on last night finally at around 9:30 PST.
The game crashes now and then. Weird crashes. Then a WoW error submission thing comes up that doesn't seem to be able to connect and submit the error.
But otherwise everything seems to be fine.
I also logged on this morning with no problems. The undercity is really cool looking. I'd definitely be undead if 80% of the players weren't undead already.

As far as I can tell pretty much everything was fixed last night by 10 pacific. Had no problems logging in and playing. Participated in the mega snowball fight in ironforge and then farmed enough small eggs in redridge to make a bunch of eggnog and get plowed on it

80% of the players are undead? really? i would have thought that most folks would be night elves or humans. but come to think of it, playing as horde, i do see a bunch of undead around orgrimmar.

I don't think that's right. I need to see some statistics. Hell on my server alone, Alliance outnumbers Horde 3 to 1. My money in on NE. I bet most people are NE.

It's down again for me.
In related news, they have given another free day to anyone who created an account on or before 12-22.
