No!!! I try to log in for my daily fix of my new drug, and it hangs at "Authenticating".  After a while, it tells me I can't log in.

Then I tried to manage my account, and it says I can't log in to that either!

What the heck is going on?  The blizzard forums have nothing on the subject.

Have I been banned? I wasn't using anything other than CTMod.  I got no message from them saying I was banned.  But why wouldn't I be able to log into the account management area either?

Has anyone out there experienced this?  What can I do to fix it?

It didn't even attempt to load a new patch, so if there was a patch today, my game doesn't know about it.  But I don't know why it wouldn't allow me to log in to the account management if it was a patch problem.

Seems that the login server is down for many people.  I couldn't get in either.  User posts on the official forums say the same thing.

Yeah, don't panic quite yet -- Roguetad is probably right.

Who wants to bet me that there is a problem with everyone's items showing on their characters again, that is directly causing this?
Mwuahahaha!

We'll know if suddenly the servers go offline, and when they come back up everyone is naked again. slywink

But I must panic! Argh!

I didn't even want this stinking game.  Now I can't go any length of time without it.

I can't think of what to do.  I mean, what else is there to do once one has started playing World of Warcraft?  I have no interest in any other game right now.  I can't watch afternoon TV, that would be awful.

Don't even tell me to go outside, that ain't gonna happen, pilgrim.

Maybe I can find some ore deposits in my house.  That might keep me occupied for a little while.  I can practice my mining and blacksmithing skills in my garage.  Yeah, yeah.  That's the ticket!

Me too!  That's saying something, I have Rome: Total War sitting on my desk begging to be played.

Guess rushing home to play isn't worth it tonight frown

Okay, I will stop freaking out, and take a deep breath.  Whew.  Better.

I wish they had posted it earlier on their main website, or put up the notice in the login screen so that I could have avoided panic.

I made wise use of the downtime to catch up on WC3:TFT.  Frankly, Im feeling too braindead lately to get into doing all the necessary RTS stuff, so Im just using cheat codes to run through the maps.

It's still entertaining, to me at least, since Im mainly interested in seeing where they went with the storyline.

After doing about seven missions I cleaned up my computer room, did some computer stuff I was putting off, talked to some friends, etc.  You know, things which tend to get put off because of WoW.  Now I just need to find time for doing laundry.
