BTW, last night I cemented my open-world PVP stance, which is "live and let live". If I am bounding around doing quests or collecting herbs or whatever, I have no interest in fighting, so I will attempt to ignore any alliance players. Last night my level 63 was picking herbs in a level 50 zone and as I was riding along the road, I started getting hit with spells. I turned around and went back to see who was interrupting my leisurely gardening and noticed he had been killed by the surrounding NPCs. Sorry, not enough punishment for making me stop what I was doing. I camped his corpse and quickly took him out when he respawned.

Level 18 guy somehow winds up in Burning Steppes (lvl 50) and can't get out. While people try to help him, it appears that he destroys his hearthstone.

So I canceled my WoW sub this morning (it is good through Feb 21st, I believe). After starting up the Rift beta last night I confirmed that this genre is really just a dangerous black hole for me. Since I picked up WoW I haven't really played any other game or read or watched TV or worked on any other hobby. I don't think I have an addictive personality or am addicted to the game or anything, it's just that in order to get the most out of the MP in the game you need to be constantly leveling to keep up with the other people you are playing with, crafting, etc., and that means spending a lot of time in-game. If I want to go play CoD (or pretty much any console MP) and be social, it doesn't matter what level I am or what the levels of the people I'm playing with are, and I can play for 10 minutes and stop. If not playing MP, I can quest, but that generally turns into a long push toward leveling and I while I really enjoy exploring the world, I would probably get more enjoyment from a story-based SP experience.

I went downstairs last night and played an hour of Dead Space 2 and felt perfectly fine stopping after an hour, something I have not felt while playing WoW. I was already planning on cutting way back starting Feb 1 for FAWM, so this makes sense anyway. There's only a few days left in the month, and I think most people will be working on Rift until the end of the week anyway, but if you are looking for someone to do Lich King dungeons, feel free to let me know what time you will be doing them and I'd be happy to join.

I am still interested in checking out SWTOR when it eventually comes out, but for the forseeable future I think I am going to stick to non-MMO games.

I meant to do that before I got charged for another month, but forgot until the day after, so I'll probably be juggling DCUO, WoW and Rift Betas for a month.

Seems like the guild is about dead with only two of us logging in lately.

Sorry Onnel, I know it's just been you and Mik lately.  I've been on a few times and played with him but keep missing you.  Not sure why the rest bailed.  I thought we'd be playing that right up to the launch of Rift.  I'll be on later today fwiw.

It's all good...I kind of expected it because we were already so thin in people.  I'll see if I find another group to run with, but will definitely stick around until then.

I think 1.5 months is the avg lifespan of most GT guilds so you guys are right on target!

They have been - there is a thread over at OO where they hang. I'm sure some are distracted by Rift at the moment.

We're on Sisters of Allune, Alliance and have several dedicated members.  We've reached level 11 as a guild and run regular/heroic cata instances most nights.  We don't quite have enough for regular 10 mans, but if we got a few more solid regulars, we could probably try those too (though we're casual, so no requirements to do anything).
