just check the combat log any time you're confused about what happened.

Dual boxing is hard btw, very hard. smile

If the Chinese farmers can do it, so can you!! Just don't ask them where to get a massage  slywink

My favorite moment was halfway through a dungeon when the healer finally noticed that the shaman I queued in was spec'd Rest and DPS.  Then Mikagami tells the guy 'I think he's afk eating or something' when I didn't respond.

I was tank and healer, then Mikagami takes aggro.

Had a funny thing happen to me tonight. I was doing an underwater quest (not one of the better ones, although they did their best to make it less annoying) and I noticed I had a hunter's mark on me. An Alliance guy swims down and does a /hello. I'm wondering what this guy is doing, but since I have no idea what his rank is, I /hello back. He then puts an ice trap on me and swims away. I guess he just wanted to screw with me, but since my pet is set to defensive, the act of setting the trap on me makes it attack him. Assuming I'm now in a fight, once I get out of the trap, I have to start attacking. Well, he one-shots my pet and then as I'm trying to get away, he one-shots me. I looked at the log and his shots were more than my entire HP. I don't know what he was doing in the area and if his actual intention was to just give me a hard time.

Under what circumstances do you see ?? for people's level? I noticed that most players I see have ??, but the guy I ran into yesterday showed up as 26 or whatever.

My level 29 hunter was questing last night and I came across an alliance player in the same area who was IIRC level 26 or 27 and not looking at me. My first PVP opportunity! I sent my pet to attack and opened fire. He turned around and started charging at me and by the time he got close, I was dead crybaby Actually, I have no idea how he killed me if he was charging. Maybe I remembered that wrong. It happened very fast. When I came back I was ganked by a level 85, so it's possible he was in on it, but I don't think so.

He did seem to be wearing some fancy armor, but it might have just been cosmetic.

Fancy armor often means Heirloom items, which is basically awesome gear that levels as you do and is gained by level 75-80's, and then sent to your alts. These kind of people usually enchant the hell out of their gear as well, meaning they have twice the dps you do.

So last night I queued up for a battleground and played some capture the flag. I had no idea what I was doing, but I came away with 5 achievements and a bunch of honor Tongue

I also was approached randomly while doing a quest and asked if I had any raptor eggs or meat. I got 15 gold for what I had, which is quite a huge profit for someone at my level.

Does anyone need glyphs? I've gotten to the point where I can make a whole mess of them, and I also have a bunch in inventory I'll sell/auction if people don't need them. I don't remember which I have in inventory at the moment, but if you request one I can check.

I need to read up on the auction house. Prices just seem so high for stuff, and then you'll see someone selling a glyph for 200 gold, and the other people selling the same glyph for 50 gold.

that's how a free market works.  Sell things for whatever you can.  It's a low pop server so prices are higher and fluctuate a bit more.  Get an AH addon to help you out.

buy high and sell low! Tongue

my old strategy way back when was to see what the lowest price was on popular items and then undercut it.  I'd make less in the short term but stuff would sell faster and it'd add up.

Get auctioneer an add on. It's really a very good add on for the AH, run a scan on the AH and it will update itself as you view items. I download it from their web site not from curse.

A more risky strategy is to buy out the competitors and put them on the auction at a more reasonable price.

I finally reached level 20 and I can get a mount it says, but I can't figure out how or where. Yes I am new to this. Any advice?

Edit: I reached this level with a worgen and automatically got its version of a mount - running wild.

I actually know this! First you have to go to the riding trainer to learn to ride, then to a stable guy to buy a mount. In Brill those are right next to each other, so I imagine that is generally the case.

Thanks. I am in Orgrimmar, and I assume it would have the same trainers as Brill - if not I will be looking for where brill is located.

Brill is on the other continent, but it is a direct zeppelin ride. I think the guy there only sells undead horses, so you might definitely want to try Orgimmar first. There must be trainers there.

If you didn't play with us last night, you missed my pet go Leroy Jenkins on us. I still have no idea what happened, but we were outside a large room that had just been cleared and my spider just dashed in, went downstairs into a completely different room and caused a ton of mobs to come storming up to us. I think it was possessed so I won't take any responsibility icon_lol

It is pretty cool. When you reach level 20 you automatically get the skill. When activated your characters goes on all four and runs.

play on a real server and experience the game the way it was meant to be experienced.

WoW as built from the ground up to be a PvE game. PvP was tacked on as an afterthought and it shows. DaoC, Warhammer, those are games build from the ground up around PvP. Anyone serious about PvP should not be playing WoW.

Kind of bummed because I leveled my goblin about 10 levels south and west of Orgrimmar before realizing that there is a goblin-oriented path north of Orgrimmar.

However, I found an awesome place to farm linen cloth in the process.

I also found out that engineering and first aid are a bad pair.

First aid is secondary.  There's really no "pairing" it with anything.  You can still have another primary profession.
