WoW Auction/Unique Ring Help

Help!  I just won an auction for a blue blush ember ring.  I can't retrieve it from my winning auction email because it says that I can't carry more than one of those rings.  I thought that I could have two of the same blue rings because I previously dual-wielded with two of the same green swords.

Anyway, I', stuck.  I can't re-auction the ring because I can't retrieve it from the email.  I can't email it to a guild member because I can't forward the winning auction email.  I tried putting my current blue blush ember ring into the bank and then retrieving the auction ring and that didn't work.  I also tried emailing my current ring to a guild member for safe keeping until I retrieve and auction my new ring, but I can't mail a soulbound ring.

I know that if worse comes to worse, I should be able to sell my current ring at a huge discount and then equip the new ring, but I obviously don't want to do that.

Sad to say, I think it's worse come to worse. If the ring actually says unique, I don't think you can retrieve it. Too bad you can't send it to someone else. I'd guess that the 2 swords don't say unique.

Yep uniques are only a 1 at a time item. The only way I know of to get that ring is delete your old one.

What if you sell your soulbound ring to a vendor, get the new ring from the mailbox and put it in the auction, then go get your soulbound ring back from that vendor? You can buy back the last item sold to a vendor, so this might actually work.

That might work. Have not tried it myself though so not 100% sure if it would work. Would not hurt trying though. Since you can get your ring back (for free) from the vendor you sold it to if you can not get the new one from the mail.

I believe that trick would work. Just make sure you don't sell anything else (obviously) or log off for any reason until you've 'reacquired' it.

But note - you still can't have more than one ring in your possession at one time, so you can't put it back up in auction and get your first ring back. You'll need to mail it off or get rid of it immediately.

Mail it off to an alt and have them put it up for sale instead.

Thanks everyone for your help.  The sell the current ring to a merchant, pick up my auction winning ring, mailing it to another avatar, and rebuying the original ring worked.

You can't change the tag under your name.  Most are "Console Gold Reader" or you are a staff member/mod.

Maybe with KD's power it doesn't insert the "edited by" footer.  Though if it is the last post in a thread and you edit it it won't show the footer either.

The weird thing is that he was a member for four days before he said whatever got him banned.
