Since the main SWTOR thread is a zillion pages scrolling every hour it seems, me thinks a character/server thread might be useful for trying to team up on occasion?  

[NOTE: I'm gradually re-doing this initial post to be a "master list" of everyone's characters that they've posted. Still figuring out the best way to organize that.]

I wish they'd put the guild on something easy to remember like "Space Slug" or "The Fatman." I'm afraid "Dreshdae Cantina" just won't stick in my brain!

And it's telling me that Blackjack doesn't exist.

I was on the fence until I read that it played very much like a single player RPG.  I don't have much gaming time and am not a big one for end game content anyways, so being able to play an actual RPG storyline appealed to me where every other MMO in existence failed.

Actually, Lord of the Rings Online has very entertaining Epic Storyline quests (crossing with the better known "Fellowship of the Ring" stuff) running throughout - albeit not constantly, it's more periodically - the game:

Since it's F2P these days, you might try that some day.   I don't know that other mmorpgs "failed" at storylines as much as most don't bother to attempt it.

I'll add you to my (Blackjack) friends list so I know when you're on, and I'll invite you into the guild next time we're on at the same time. By flag down, I just meant put me or someone else in the guild on your friends list. Then you'll know when we're on and can "flag us down", i.e. send a "whisper" in game.

The game by default makes a pretty obnoxious noise when someone on your friends list comes online or goes offline, so you'll notice it.

Given time, you'll be using Leet Speak -- using all manner of inscrutable acronoyms, jargon and abbreviations -- and referring to noobs and nubs with disdain.   Given even more time, you'll eventually be lecturing other people how to play on your Flashpoint and HEROIC4 groups, insulting them, bragging about your own prowess in spite of wiping out repeatedly, and generally making other players feel miserable.

Then eventually you'll be in PVP, exploiting ways to gank new players left and right, and delighting in their screams of agony and misery and despair. You'll have all the best stuff in the game and you'll constantly remind other players of that fact.

Then you'll complain PVP armor is ugly, and SWTOR is boring and predictable, and quit.

Your trip to the Dark Side will then be complete!  

P.S. I think I'm kidding, but I've seen all of the above happen to other players in other mmorpgs. So be careful.

I've taken some screenshots of our guild roster (including offline folks) so at some point I'll post a list of who's on it to date, and of course we'll invite anyone else in who'd like to join.

I've added Gratch's and i'll add Laner's toons to my friends list. Hopefully we can all be online at some point next day or two.

I hope some day down the road we can do an Operation (multiple parties grouped together, aka Raid) and actually do something together as a guild.  Even if it's just dying over and over. I mean, sometimes that builds cameraderie in a game, right?

What it this goodwill from your employer?  Mine only "closed" for the morning when there was an ice storm and we lost power.  They got it back on and told people that if they didn't come in for the afternoon, they'd have to use a half day of PTO.
