So here I am, building lists for 360 GT'ers...

I've got 150 people on the list, and I'm going to be doing the following:

1) break the 150 people into several groups.
2) spread those groups over a number of GamingTrendCLxx Live accounts.
3) publish the list and instructions on how to use FoF so you all can see each other (when you so chose) and not fill up your friends list.

Rather than picking random groups, I'm going to let you all "pick your teams". I have not yet decided the size of each group (although I know they'll be either 50, 33 or 20). The group you're in will be in each of your GTCLxx accounts, so if you're with PeteRock he'll be in all 3 of the CLxx friends lists that you'll have. It sounds complicated but it really isn't.

You WILL have full access to all the GT'ers so it's not a real concern, it just means that the people you're grouped with will be in every listing.

What I want from you people is: tell me who your top 5-10 buddies are online. This isn't a popularity contest; I'm looking for some responses to get at least 2 or 3 groups of "core" people so that searching is easier for them.

I'll try my best to accomodate that.

Having just got my 360 and only owning Rock Band and the Marvel/Forza 2-fer, I haven't gamed with any of you folks yet.

While I'll play a few FPS games, I reckon I'll be primarily a race (prefer fun, not sim), board, or beat gamer. If you're making a list for such gamers, I'll go in that one. If not, just stick me in the "noobs" file.

Clan List. I have devised a strategy.

Groupings are in 33. This means that each person will have three friends in their list.

Three of the following

GamingTrendCL01
GamingTrendCL02
GamingTrendCL03
GamingTrendCL04
GamingTrendCL05
GamingTrendCL06
GamingTrendCL07

There are nine groups, and they can be evenly dispersed among that list for a maximum of 287 odd accounts together. That gives us 40-50% growth. This is scalable so it's no biggie if I have to change that.

eg: group 1 will be in CL02, 04, and 07
The other groups in that clan are as follows:

CL02 - 1, 2, 3
CL04 - 1 , 5, 7
CL07 - 1 , 4, 6

group two would be in CL02 (obviously) as well as CL05, and CL06 for example. Since 1 isn't in those other two CL's. there is no duplication.

The only area of duplication is the people in group 1 are up to 33 (about 20 right now) so they would see the same 20-33 people in EACH CL as they have the same pattern.

That's why I'm looking for people who play a lot together. It makes more sense to see them when you're checking the FoF for the 3 CL accounts to see your favorite people alla time.

The other side of the coin is I say screw it, you guys will actually have room on your friends list for the frequent friends and that maybe I shouldn't care about that.

I hope to have this stuff done by the end of the week so that invites can go out and I can thin out my friends list. (I'm @ 120 w. my MSN messenger crap).

So I'm going to do this as long as people are cool with it. I'm going to set up a ... POLL! I keed, I keed.

The idea behind this is that you only have 4 GT accounts listed on your friends list; should you want to find a GTèr you simply check the friends of friends list (go to details for an account, and press the right direction arrow to go to the FoF tab). This makes it easy for all people to be able to find likeminded GTèrs without having to have everyone under the sun on their friends list.

This has a pretty expensive initial setup (in terms of time) as I need to take 150 odd people and send them each 4 requests. I`ve already created the passports and silver accounts, so we`re talking about final phase here.

So as an example,  I would:

Send friend invite to Graham from GamingTrendCL01, 02, 03 and 04
Send friend invite to Ike       from GamingTrendCL01, 05, 06 and 07
Send friend invite to Thin_J  from GamingTrendCL01, 08, 09 and 10
Send friend invite to Laner   from GamingTrendCL01, 11, 12 and 13

You'll notice that all four of them will be friends with CL01, but none of them overlap in the other accounts. There are actually 13 silver accounts, and 13 (A-M) groups. The four above represent A,B,C and D respectively. The only overlap will be their own group; so if you're A you will always see the A people in all 4 CL accounts.

To further illustrate the point, here are some people from other groups.

WonderPug will have  GamingTrendCL04, 05, 09 and 13 (group K)
Austin will have         GamingTrendCL04, 06, 10 and 11 (group L)
Destructor will have   GamingTrendCL03, 05, 10 and 12 (group L)

You`ll note that everyone will see each other. This also affords us 25 people per group, so we get a total of 13x25 accounts in the system. (325 people). Hopefully they`ll introduce clans by the time the numbers get there.

I`ll put together a screenshot tutorial when I`m done, but I just don`t want people wierded out when they get the invites and want an explanation.

Everyone will have 4 accounts, and they use their FoF to see the entire registered GT Live community.
