Hah.  No.  I played for about 4.5 hours lastn ight, added the stream about 30-60 minutes in.

And I can't remove commercials.  It's $3500 a year.  Fuck /that/.

Got on this morning when there was no line and enjoyed myself. Joined the Wanderers Guild and then had to log. Now I am trying to get back on and it's about a 40 min wait.

I think you can still get into the headstart. I know Direct2Drive is saying 'play today', plus there is the sale too.

I went ahead and bought it off steam because I'm a weak willed loser.  Plus, the D2D sale still includes sales tax.  It's only about 4 dollars less than steam even with 15 percent off. 

Downloading now.  Hopefully I'll be able to play tonight for a bit...if the queue gods are willing.

Just logged in remotely to finish the install and i fired it up to see what the server populations were like.  sunrest is full...so it's unlikely i'll be joining up with anyone any time soon.

While running CMD and typing format C: makes you post more efficiently.

i always enjoyed when people in wow told someone to alt F4 most likely unaware that even if they fell for it, it would do nothing as alt f4 doesn't shut down wow. good times.

Whenever I played a PvP arena in Guild Wars someone would usually shout the alt-f4 thing.  Someone always fell for it too.

Nice. I finally got around to checking my mailbox in game and got one of those runes. I assume you can re-use it since it doesn't disappear from your inventory.

I wish they had made it so you could use it on clothing too; my rogue had a pair of hotpants that would have looked hilarious with the green glow.

I'm pretty sure that pre-order/bonus sourcestones can be reused indefinitely, but any that are crafted (i.e. the vast majority you will see in the game) are one-shot.

LoL i just logged off Icewatch, got level 7. Have to admit I like it however some much to choose from re souls, even picking 3 for my rogue is a bit eeer what the hell shall i pick.

Just had a very satisfying evening in Rift, ending at level 9.  I can't wait to get to Meridian and have a look around (and find a damn bank).  I've done plenty of quests and been pleasantly distracted by numerous rifts - lots of XP to be gained there.  Riding around on my enormo-turtle, twatting things with my big ole mace and water-based spells of smiting.  I'm running the game at the predefined medium settings and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

The queue was better tonight by the way.  I joined at position 150 and it took about 20 minutes to get in.  Lots of other folks online doing the same stuff...I like how you don't even have to be in the same group as someone and you can still get quest completion if you help someone out.  I haven't picked a profession yet, not sure I want to bother although if Rift is like other MMOs in this regard it would be an easy route to more gold.

Can't wait to play more!  It's a shame I'll be out of town for much of this weekend.  Reemul, I added your characters to my list.  Razgon, hurry up and buy the bloody game will you?

I can't imagine how the pet is a pain. Marks/Ranger may be the most common spec I've seen (it's mine too) and the pet is key to soloing for markmsman.

I only have 1 toon in wow and that's an 85 hunter, the pet is an integral part of that class. With so many variations of class in Rift I don't feel i need or want the pet. It seems to die very quickly, is slow to spawn as well. I want to swap out ranger and add in some close quarters melee and see how that works instead. As I deliberately didn't do the beta events it may be this doesn't work but the fun will be in the trying.

It may be i've had enough of pets and just need to play it without, still lots to try out.

I got both my toons to level 10 last night.  they're both the same builds on different servers, so when I can finally get into Sunrest I switch over from Harrow and get through the quests more efficiently since I know exactly where to go and what to expect.
