Red Orchestra 2 server rental

As I did for Battlefield 2, I'm going to do for Red Orchestra 2

Looking to rent a 32 slot server.  It'll be an open server but people who are helping split the cost will have preferred access.  Total cost per month looks to be under $60 US which is pretty good, especially if we get enough people.  What's paying $3-5 a month for a nice moderated environment to play one of the best shooters to come out in awhile?

PM me if you're interested in chipping in.  Paypal is the preferred way of handling this. 

Thank god the server fees are the same as BF2 though.  That was more than $200 a month and when people started bailing it was a bit to eat.      $60 I can handle for a month.

server is up, getting some rudimentary settings in order.  Will work more on learning the in's and out's again later.

you can join directly from console using either of these commands

depending on if you prefer typing numbers or letters

once in game, hit esc and choose 'Add this server to favorites' or similar and voila!

Server currently running relaxed realism, friendly fire on, TE map rotation with delayed killfeed and no killcam.  Feel free to throw more suggestions for settings at me as well.  I also turned pistols to realistic which just means that if a class historically didn't carry one, you don't have one.

If we keep people on the server, it'll fill up.  All servers have trouble filling when at 0 because people join, see it's empty and leave.  Once you get 8 people or so, it tends to go critical mass and will be full for awhile.

pm me for info for the vent server so we can use voice chat while on the server!

Harks sever works beautifully - I cant heartily recommend it. Now we just need to keep Hark away from it ;-)

There's Razgon at the top of the list.  He led the losing team quite well! 

Other than deciding that the middle of an arty strike was the place to be, Raz has improved an amazing amount for just 24 hours of time.

Game is going to be crazy good when more maps are available and the few bugs are squared away.

Aye, we need more maps, although I am beginning to kinda like Fallen Figthers as well - brutal as it is.

I had a frustrating battle with an enemy tank where every shot of his either killed my gunner or blew my tank up outright.  Every shot of mine bounced off.  I know there are weak spots on the tanks, but the hell if I could find one.  He certainly knew them all.  After three tanks, one of which he systematically killed each of my gunners 1 by 1 until I had no crew, I gave up and switched to Commander and arty'd him.

I hate when there is nobody playing tank, commander and squad leaders.  I hate when commanders aren't recon and artying, when squad leaders aren't smoking and when tanks are just sitting around.

Played a bit on the server. Da, it is good. Its been awhile since I played RO though. Took me a bit to get the hang of the controls as well as the tanks. Its all coming back to me, slowly.

I hoped on the server for a bit last night, got my ass handed to me several times, and then decided I better at least play some of the single player campaign before I hop back into multiplayer.

On a side note does the Multiplayer automatically reduce the texture quality from the single player campaign or is it just me? Because I swear the levels in single player are way better looking.
