I think the biggest match I have been in is about 8v8ish... Nothing like what is shown..
Haven't played in a while though.. Mostly bought into this for the inner sphere war thing, which still hasn't happened.. frown

They aren't charging more for Clan mechs than before, just for the special 'I'm crazy and make crazy money so give me the gold plated ones' ones.  The cost per mech on the packages is about the same as the previous packs when you do the maths.

Yeah, looking at some of those packs you are getting a ton of Mechs..   I'm on interested in owning the Mad Cat/Timber Wolf & Storm Crow

Haven't checked on this in a while. Did they get the inner sphere persistent war thing up? If not, color my annoyed. They need to stop adding mechs and get this going...

Nope, from what I hear that is a big sticking point with a lot of people.

The core gameplay is a helluva lot of fun but grows stale without the persistent hook.  That and the expensive cost of new mechs keeps me away.  They are just overpriced imo.  If they could get the Mechs in the $5-$20 range and/or sell premium time at $15-$20 a month then add new content this game would explode imo.  Of course that is not a sure thing but apparently spitting out expensive new mechs every month to feed their whales is. I still fire it up once every few weeks for a hour or three but am done spending money on it at his point.  I've spent about $60 and have one premium mech, extra bays and blew the rest on premium time.  Much better bang for my buck out there.

What's more, they still haven't done enough to distinguish these mechs, they're mainly loadout platforms and armor levels.

There's very little of what makes a Battletech game either, missions that rip off the simplistic world of tanks missions, no tonnage limits for teams, no community/faction warfare, even the complete UI update is missing and the promised date for that jumps all over the place in various twitter and website posts. One guy assures it's days away, and to buy the clan stuff if you want to see it, others have it coming in Feb-Jun.

It's been a long time since release and none of those promised features are there. Combat isn't getting any more complex. Lights and other mechs run around with little concern about terrain. I can run my commando into a rock wall or player at 120kpm+ and suffer no damage or penalty, and my Atlas bounds up steep hills like a light, just slightly slower.

They keep adding more and more things to buy, but aren't adding in the gameplay fundamentals to keep it interesting. Even the clan mechs are being dumbed down overall in differences and tech level because the game just can't support having mechs that different in a balanced game.

Funny thing is, I still have my founder's time credit, and at this point I don't think I'll ever use it.

Same here. I have been saving it for the persistent universe thing, which again, was the primary (only?) reason, I signed up as a founder. otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with it.
