Got the wi-fi adapter, but for some CRAZY reason (it gives me an error when installing when it prompts me to plug in the USB adapter it gives me an error that states, "Please insert the Nintendo wi-fi Adapter into a USB port" and aborts installation) it doesn't install with my computer and I have no clue how to fix it.  SO!  Worked with TML's comp, so here's my friend code:

I checked my order status and it says my dongle is backordered.

That sounds dirty doesn't it?

I wish it would tell you a person's total wins/losses instead of how you are doing against them.  Oh well biggrin  Really enjoying this one.  Looks like we need to post a time that everybody who has each other on their friends list needs to search for a friend's game at.

**edited to add** Well, I mean, it does when it matches you up with people, but I wish it said that on the friends list.  Aw well!

I agree - it'd be cool to track Friends overall totals.

Has anyone hooked up against each other yet? I have the Friend Locator turned on, but haven't seen any of you on yet.

Chris.

Edit: I saw the icon just now, but didn't hook together

Finally got my router working.  A bug in the firmware prevented me from changing my tx rate to 1-2.  Once that was fixed away I went.

That was my brother - we were sitting there and he's like, "uhhh, there's a blue thing blinking" and tried to connect to you, but I guess it didn't work.

Yep, saw a blue thingy flashing above where the bars are shown on signal strength.  I guess that's the indicator that one of your friends has signed on.

So I clicked on joing a game with "Friend" . . . and apparently, was connected with you (pricecs) for a little bit, but somehow you or I dropped out.

And I second the idea - we should all get our friends codes, input them all, and then designate a time to play.  And at that time, just do a search for Friends only.  Then hopefully we can all play some together!

if it shows the screen "if you still see this screen after registering.." does that mean the other person has not added you back yet?  and what is the little lock/unlock thing.  It only shows the "your battle record" on one persons.

weird.

Yep, that screen means the other person hasn't logged into the Wi-Fi service after you adding that person.  Or it could mean that person didn't add you.

The lock/unlock thing, I THINK, is just there so that friend entry won't disappear after some time?  Something like that?  Or maybe it has to do with something else - not entirely sure either.

And yeah - I would have liked to see the overall WFC record of my friends on there.  But it only shows your personal record with that person when you played against him.

so have you added me? cause it is doing that with yours.  I read the manual and it says the lock gives you a better chance of racing with that person..or something.

Is there a way to talk to people on it, cause it says "don't give out your name/email/address..I dont think any of those would fit in the space it gives you to put a nickname..odd.

So far played with gatorfavre (though only through direct multiplayer), my brother (naturally), Ascendent, and LE a little bit tonight.  Have had some really good matches!

Everyone now is on my friend list.

So yeah, whenever a blue thingy flashes above your connection bar thing, it's showing that a friend of yours is searching for a game.

Yeah, I did that before we all connected to give the search thing more time because TML was just powering on his DS to play as well.  So I quit, then searched again.

Fun game!  Four player mayhem there!  We should have done Baby Park.  That would have been chaotic!

TML and I won't be able to play until the 27th due to going home back to "dial-up land" known as the parents' house.  Though, we could one day if set up just go to a hotspot and play from there.

TML set up a thread about playing this evening at 7pm PST.  But yeah, I agree with you - that would be fun!

I think the original poster needs to consolidate all the friendcodes into the first  post.  Keep it organized.

I'm going to practice some more and then hopefully hope on tonight, i better see some of you.

I can be on between 9pm-11pm Pacific Time tonight.

Anyone else?

My Mario Kart nickname is usually DeadLast.

I have found the service to be less than reliable. I have had numerous times over the past few days that it won't connect at all, and other occasions when it gets as far as looking for three opponents and then bombing with an error code. Hopefully it'll get more reliable, because I really have been enjoying the online races (even though I come in 4th most the time).

Oh man, I need some fun people to race with who won't drop just because they're falling behind!  slywink  Reading about your races in the other posts sounds like a blast; I'd be most gratified to have my code thrown in with the rest of your friends lists!
