Wait wait wait!

I have it now.

Ever see Maverick with Mel Gibson? He played the first hour of poker and guaranteed that he'd lose. Then he started playing and then cleaned the table.  That's what Calvin did.

As Maverick did with the poker player's tells, Calvin used his 'fight' with his 'girlfriend' to watch our techniques for the first hour and then he came back on and blasted us to bits.

Muhahaahaha.  I'm on to you, but there's something you should know! I'm not left handed.

Lol, you used a description from one movie, and a quote from another you silly man. Either way, Maverick is one of my favorite movies, so take from that what you will. Considering we will have new maps I am going to be super super eager to play this week. However, Friday is date night, and the chances of me getting in before 11pm are slim. So hopefully you all will either delay a tad or just make sure you are still playing around 11 EST-I know I want to get on, and I actually intend to practice this week. I really do.

Now ATB, lets be real. Would you rather have some random regular forumer in there, or would you rather have me in there racking up my 8-10 kills, frustrating you at every turn, and winning the first battle of wills with PeteRock? Consider this carefully sir!

Well, friend, I'm hoping the total degradation in play on my part had to do with lack of even teams rather than an unbelievable superiority that you possess.  It's possible, but I'm hoping it's not the latter.

Counter question: Should I have the forum regular who has the dedication to be there on time despite other commitments to an imaginary girlfriend or you who waltzes in whenever he pleases?

Honestly, I think the teams were stacked in your favor, then against you, and then for you again at the end. Nonetheless, I think you just had a bad night and the rest probably didn't really matter.

As for the second question, my imaginary girlfriend already lets me play far more games than she probably should without complaint, so with football on Saturday and Sunday taking up my entire weekend, I can probably spare myself for 5 hours on Friday night for her smile

I have to "work" until 8pm CST however, I will be on if they don't mess up our internet.  I was told that my internet may be slow because they are re-routing a connection for a new building they are building here on my campus.  I have been assured that I will have internet, they just don't know how fast it will be.

We had a prequel last night.

Ebonstone (who is teh king)
Calvin (who I got even with for the most part)
Pete for a bit (he gets so sad)
Pete's friend snrub (didn't hang out long).
A few QT3 dudes (some good cats. I almost choked one when one said 'what's gamingtrend?')
A couple of other guys we've met playing (varying levels of skill)
Some randomers. (varying levels of skill)

Good time had by all* until 1:30!

BTW- We may have enough people for two games tonight......!

*Except Pete.

It's a big maybe for me.  If there's room when I'm on, I'll try.  If not I'll do single player.  I haven't even logged an hour yet.  The team that gets me is really lucky. slywink

Normally I would volunteer to host a second game if necessary, but as Papa Smurff mentioned they are going to be doing work on our net connection so probably not a good thing to rely on.

Will we notice either way? My guess is no.

I will be there, but as I said, it likely wont be till 11 or 11:30 at the earliest due to prior commitments.

And ATB, using the worst night of GoW in months as getting even with me does not count sir. Prepare for the pain.

With regard to the some boxes don't connect problem.  Run the network test in the system blade.  Be sure that NAT isn't showing Moderate.  If so make sure your router's firmware is updated properly or that it's an approved router.

Hey sorry I couldn't play last night.  We are in the process of getting a major Ice storm and a bunch of transformers were shorting out last night.  I was watching the pop from my 8th floor dorm room so I figured the best thing to do was shut everything down and unplug it....Maybe I will get some play time in today before the next round of Ice hits later.

I kept getting a "lost connection" message.  It made me sad.

I had that issue alot until I started connecting my 360 directly to my cable modem.  After I did that it went away.  Granted it's annoying to have to reconnect cables whenever I play but at least it fixed the issue.

when I ran it through my router I had NAT showing open and did everything that is suggested but still had the connection issues.  And I'm pretty sure my router is on the list of approved ones/has the most current firmware.
