It's hard to tell if that is on my end or yours.  Any luck connecting to anyone else?

This thing sure isn't easy to troubleshoot!  Sometimes I get an error about not being able to connect to another town, but I can just reset the WiFi adapter and it works.  Again, I have no idea if the error is due to my firewall or what.  I see you are closed for the night, but perhaps tomorrow we can try again.

Added all of you now for both games.

I dunno how many people are getting online nowadays for AC, but back when TML and I had broadband we were hoping on pretty much daily and going to other people's towns.  I'll try to find a hotspot I can "hang out" around and try to get online so for any newer people who entered my code can actually have a green circle for me instead of a red X.

I had to delete about 3 of my friend codes for AC though.  But that was only because I had a red X for them ever since adding them looong ago.

hmnn,  when do you guys usually get online?

This is probably my biggest complaint - I'd love to not be restricted to Registered Users.

Here's how I approach this...

• If I can connect to WFC, I do
• First, I choose the 'I want to go out' option to see if anyone's open
• If not, I choose the 'Invite Guests' option so that people doing 2) will find me
• Continue playing as normal

Now, there is some risk it seems. If I lose my connection to WFC, the DS has to be reset - removing any progress I've made in that session. I'm looking into why I'm getting disconnected this way.

I've updated the list again, and added Tony Hawk as a new game.

Also, if you haven't done it already I highly recommend going to http://www.nintendowifi.com and linking your Nintendo WiFi account to your DS as it enables you to go to the WiFi web page and get a bunch of stats about your online playing (similar to the Xbox Live linked account).  A couple of notes about registering:
1) You'll need your WFC ID, which can be found by going to the 'WiFi settings' of any online capable DS game and going to the Options section.  You'll need to enter this ID to start.

2) You'll then be given a new user ID to enter into your DS, which can be done from the DS system options screen (green icon, then the center icon).

Just a heads up - it appears that the number of folks on the AC friends code list is more than the game can actually save.  This means that you're going to have to pick & choose who's going to end up on your friends list.

I still have quite a few folks that show up as red on my friends list, so if I don't see them in the next few days I'll probably delete them so I can add the last few folks on the list.

yeah, all the people on the front of the list are red for me still, i'm guessing they just don't play anymore, or didn't add anyone else.  It would be nice to get some more active friends.

'fossils/October.....there is a lost kitty in my town claiming she lost her mommy in Everboro. I have promised to bring her home - I think she's going to follow me around till I get her there.

BTW, another player & I played kitty-mommy tag for a week, once getting the kitten through the gate in my town & watching the heart-warming  :roll:  cutscene. Before we saved again, the wifi connection dropped so mission remained unaccomplished. Kitty & Mom didn't seem to mind though as both showed up again but alas, on unpredictable days. We never managed to be online at the right time to unite them (again). After about a week of this, they stopped showing up altogether.  

Hope we can meet up soon, she is a most pitifully bawling bunch of fur.

Yup, I should have you added.  I'm normally online between 7-8:30am PST, and after 8pm PST.  A firmware update to my router had suddenly made Animal Crossing not work on WFC (although strangely Mario Kart still did), but I downgraded yesterday so I should be back up and running again.

That night, I left my town gate open because SS was bringing me a present, lol!  I was either playing Ratchet: Deadlocked, or it was one of those TV nights (Criminal Minds, maybe?)  If I'd known you'd pop by too, I would've put up a notice for you!

LOL, I thought I accidentally left a gas pump on my front steps, ha - you know my memory.  And, yeah, my character is kinda pink, and I don't even like pink much, but for some strange reason I thought she was cool.

And, hey - those aren't "issues" - that's an "orchard in development by a person with no memory" - and I wanted a diverse selection available for my visitors!  Go check out the other thread (maybe on the Console forum?) it gets even funnier.
