The only permitted disclosures at this time are:

1) The fact that there is a Warhammer Online Beta Test currently underway.
2) The fact that you are a member of the Warhammer Online Beta Test.

That is all until the NDA drops. biggrin

Coolness. I can't remember if I signed up for that one or not.

However, I must say I don't have a heck of a lot of excitement for the game. I've never been big into the Warhammer universe, I have only mild interest in PvP (I plan on doing it in Conan, but am glad there is plenty of PvE content), and the screenshots make it look like a WoW clone art-wise, and that's not something that blows my skirt up.

At any rate, I still hope it turns out to be a great game. I can certainly be persuaded to give it a whirl. I know a lot of people are highly anticipating it.

My primary concern with WAR would be the combat system.

Every video I've seen of combat displays some surprisingly clunky and dull moves, with really sub-par animations. Call me a techno-whore or whatever, but after WoW/AoC/Vanguard, I really need a highly responsive and interactive combat system to satisfy me. It's probably my no. 1 reason for not playing LOTRO and EQ2 more than I did.

I'm glad I did buy AoC even though I'm a potential WAR fanboy.  I enjoyed my time in AoC beta and I'm enjoying release even more with a lot of the problems fixed.  If WAR comes out 4-7 months from now, I would have got more than my moneys worth from AoC during this period.

I must say, War sure has a nice level of uniqueness going for it from what I've seen.
Are the system requirements as heavy if not heavier than Conan?
Gonna have to invest into more ram and a better processor just to get AoC to run smoothly.
If this one ends up needing even more, I'm kind of SoL.

Have AoC.  Don't care about Warhammer.

(unless they decide to do 40K)

Don't have neither.
Wasn't blown away enough by the Fileplanet AoC beta to get all lathered up about it yet. Waiting to see if people here keep playing once the Nipple Novelty Effect has worn off... icon_razz

Found the Warhammer devs incredibly obnoxious in most of their videos for the game to this point (which doesn't mean it isn't good, just they come off poorly -- they should at least get a new promotional video director who focuses on the game instead of devs trying and failing to be funny!)

Just got back from 4 grueling days at a business conference in Cleveland -- which from what we could tell, is like a zombie city in a George Romero or 28 Days Later sequel -- there's nobody in the city in the morning, at rush hour, at night, never. icon_razz Plus, cars not only won't stop for you if you're in a cross walk with blinking pedestrian lights all over it -- they SPEED UP! Cleveland - the Grand Theft Auto city! However, it does have the cleanest streets we ever saw in any city we can think of.

I played it at the Penny Arcade Expo last year and I wasn't impressed at all.  Was very derivative of WoW and not near as nice.

Looking forward to war. I've pre-ordered, so I guess I'll get in the wider beta since I my application hasn't been picked up for the closed one. As to someone not being impressed a year ago.... that's why the game was still in development Tongue

I have been signed up for the newsletter and BETA for a long time now, but no BETA yet

I ordered the CE version and entered my Open BETA code, so now I just wait.

WAR is the only MMO that grabbed my interest since WoW. I am a pretty big fan back to the Space Hulk days
