Do the qualifications get you lots of RP or anything useful?  I'm a bit annoyed that in order to progress my submachinegun/oracle recon qualifications I need to get a bunch of kills with a sniper rifle and kills while cloaked....

That's an impressive score Hark. I don't think I've ever broken 40 kills in a game.

Aegis is annoying for sure but there are counters to it. You can roll a grenade underneath it (right click when throwing instead of left click), use HEAT to force the user back to cover, flank it and get inside the bubble to kill it or knock the user down with blitz. You can also mag-dump (shoot everything you have at the aegis) and it'll shorten its lifespan.

Now Aegis when used in conjunction with HEAT can be deadly since you can't pop up and throw nades or mag-dump on it. I've seen that used to mop up the entire team. If the enemy team throws HEAT, use blitz to knock the enemy HEAT down and it'll shut it off.

Now, proper use of Blackouts can mean the game since the recharge time on devices are so long without a spec equipping the "energizer bunny" device on your team. It can mean denying the use of enemy devices for quite a while.

This is definitely a teamwork heavy game and in PUGs that's hard to get unless you happen to be grouped with a bunch of clan guys that already knows teamwork and can play off your devices.

Hark, I tried joining the US queue with VPN and I would almost consider it cheating. The lag gave me so much advantage it wasn't even close to being fair.

yeah, so far in PUGs teamwork means everyone is on the same map, that's about it.

just had a really good PUG with a few guys in the same clan and a bunch of randoms who worked well together.  plenty of cover fire, use of voice comm and only one bad mistake where a bunch of us bunched up more than we should have at a capture point which led to an excellent opportunity for the enemy to grenade us.

Just like Smite, when thing go well and teamwork is to be had, this game feels incredible.  When it doesn't, it's pretty frustrating.

I usually know when the PUG I'm in will do badly just by looking at the class composition at the start of the game. I've seen matches with 4-5 recons and none wants to use smg and attack, they all want to be snipers and use cloak. That's almost a guaranteed loss.

Is the flinch out of control on smg's on the EU server right now too?

guess not then slywink

You'd know in a heartbeat.  Currently if you get hit in the toe, you're looking at the ceiling.  It wasn't nearly this bad before the mid july patch.  SMG's are particularly brutal with it since they have increased flinch.  It honestly feels like someone added an extra zero or two to the flinch values.

I believe only certain SMGs get that extra "oomph" on the flinch, mainly the 9mm variant (MP5, MP7, etc) to compensate for their low damage. But yeah, I think someone overdid it.

Big patch tomorrow, any weapons or armor that you want to buy needs to be bought today.  The limited edition helmets and armors used to hang around even when the weapons went away, but not anymore.

I think Kato made a clan.  Most of us stopped playing when it became obvious that they had no intention that you could compete without paying hundreds.
