Here's how I've seen it done against me, so here's how we can form together as a team in ranked games.

The It works and isn't quite underhanded way:

With one of us hosting, we all input the same custom search parameters.  Min rounds, max rounds, weapon switching, friendly fire and game type.

Then we key in on the game held by our host.

That way all join that game and have people move to the other team.  Typically folks comply.

Second way:

We host and kick anyone who joins our team and move over to the team.

I've seen this done probably a half dozen times in my short MP experience.

What say you?

Who wants to try forming a team besides myself, Kaigen, PeteRock and Calvin.  Jancelot?

I would but you obviously want good players.  I will surely be cheering you on from the balcony of losers.

Get lost clown.  All are welcome.  I stink in real competition.  But I'm learning.

This is why I think MS's plan is stupid.  Just have an single player ranked ladder, and then a seperate ranked ladder for teams.  I mean, it nearly invalidates the whole concept of team games if you can't play with friends on ranked servers.

However, I think I'll avoid ranked, it tends to bring out the worst in some players.

+1.  I play to have fun and some of those people playing ranked games can get a bit 'intense'  paranoid

Yes yes. But if we're all together it will be lovely.

I'd do it, but we'll need more playing times etc.
