apparently it takes forever and a day to connect to a game and there is no button to back out early.   Volition insists it's firewalls causing the problem, I'm in the DMZ so if any of you that are also in the DMZ can't connect to me then it's probably not that.

some more info on gang invites, looks like you have to play online before an invite will go through. The one's I already sent probably didn't work.

'Why wasn’t my gang invite received?
a. Gang invites will only work if the recipient has registered themselves with our gang service. This is automatically done when they play a multiplayer match over Live.

Hepcat1 was having an issue but it was a problem with his IP on his router taking him out of the DMZ.

If any of you know how to put your XBOX in the DMZ, do it.

www.portforward.com will help some of you who have issues with computer talk

There are definitely issues with the game, but if you are clear on the firewall side joining/hosting seems to work ok.

If you don't already have your xbox set to go to dashboard before game, set it that way for this.

Couldn't connect to you and I tried three times today, Harkonis.  I load my profile before I start the game, so that isn't the issue :/

"This is something that cropped up today, certainly due to the sheer number of people playing online.

I suspect it has something to do with the gang servers going down."

So I guess it's just a temporary issue...

I am however sorry to you Harkonis and CeeKay for not responding to your invites. I was so caught up with beating Los Carnales missions. I could not tear myself away.

I will be glad to join in tonight. Just shoot me a invite, and I will be there.

Once again after joining you for one play session, I could not get back in. I'm not hiding because you beat the living crap out of me or anything, I just couldn't connect.

Speaking of beating the living crap out of me, where's my money? Are the game we're playing private so there is no money? DO I have to play against the general pop? Ew. Oh well, maybe I can connect to them.
