not related to Secret World    it's another F2P that is about to go into closed beta, and you can sign up at the main site.  it looks to be a regular fantasy MMO, but I figured I'd mention it for all of you beta junkies out there

I'm signed up. Free is worth a try, and at least the trailers/screenshots make it look like a nice step up from Perfect World's past F2P offerings.

I played Perfect World for about a year but got burnt out on it quite awhile back, still have at least 500 Zen on my account and this looks to have more of a western style feel to it.
Maybe this is what I need to avoid the temptation of re-subbing to WoW.

This one looks pretty good for a f2p. It's been in development for a while, and in a dev interview, it was stated they are going for a more western market and mindset - so less grind, more quest-based.

I actually got lucky and was accepted into the CB1 which starts tomorrow. I can post impressions a bit later. Also, I know there are a couple people in CB1 that plan to livestream their sessions. Check the FW forum for the links if you are interested.

Yeah, the emails they sent out when you entered a CB key were a little mis-leading. Having a key means you are in for some stage of CB, not necessarily CB1. They sent out emails a few days ago that specifically said if you have been accepted to CB1, or not. A lot of unhappy people on their forums right now, although they held a few contests to give away CB1 access over the past 3 days.

Like to know myself, having got one of those misleading beta e-mails, and the disappointment led to my WoW re-sub.
