Players in Pirate101 assume the role of buccaneers searching for plunder and glory; they assemble a crew, captain their own ship, and explore exotic worlds. Like Wizard101, the game will be free to download and play, but users will have to purchase a monthly subscription or spend “crowns,” KingsIsle’s virtual currency, to access premium areas of the game.
