Firefall Invite Thread

Played for the first time last night. At first I was like, okay, this is nice. Then I started falling into some random team ups around a thumper or some other objective. Played as a medic. OMG so much fun just dodging around and healing people. Getting to level 2 and building the vampiric healer was even better. Then I could heal myself by draining life off the lower level critters.

Finally played on a thumper squad today. It was nighttime on the server. Lots of fun at night, with the low visibility and having to use flashlights to see the enemies. I like how the flashlight beam is tied to your gun, so it moves down and away a bit while you're reloading. And OMG seeing two people die because they were standing right in the thumper drop zone. Too funny! Reminded me to pay attention to large red circles on the ground .

I'm having a blast with this game and I haven't tried PVP yet.

ok.  this is either pretty unusual or damn annoying.  when I started up the installer yesterday, my C: drive had almost 11 gb free. the first time I tried to install, it died out, so I restarted it.  it crashed when it used up all of the free space on the c: drive.  I restarted and had all of the free space back. 

I then put the installer on the other drive where the game was set to install.  as that was installing, I watched as it took up more space on C:.  now, the game is fully installed to a separate drive and I'm down to a little over 2.3 gb available on the C: drive.  I get that the streaming installer uses the temp folders on c to install, but the damn thing doesn't clean up after itself very well.   and their published locations for the installer files comes up empty. 

I hope they fix this for release.

Yeah, looks like I have a couple invites again as well.  I haven't fired this up in a few months so it would be nice to see all the changes, but there are so many other games out right now that I want to play so I don't think that will happen.

The beta content is still so limited. Decided there's not enough for me to justify pre-paying stuff for a F2P game yet.
