I have to say that was a very well put together attack by the Horde.

 


They fought very well. Nicely organized.



They even regrouped like 6 times.



All in all a very, very fun event.



Let me know when you wanderer's plan to do it again. Maybe convince my guild to show up

Yea that was a great battle. Yea Lag was everywhere and those damn guards are a bitch to kill. The Wanderers had there first guild meeting lastnight and thought we would head to ash and have some fun. I think total at the start we had close to 70 guys. Hope to do it again soon

Kinda cool to see screenshots with us (Wanderers) in red hehe.  All ours are from our point of view.

Have to say it was pretty damn cool running into Elven lands with over 70 guildies.  Too bad I was only level 8  :shock:   Yes, I got one shotted many times hehe.

you are a brave man to venture into enemy territory at level 8.  last night, on kil'jaeden, a whole mess of dirty alliance came down the gold road towards the crossroads.  gorkha, my level 15 orc hunter was out hunting with kukri, his raptor pet.  i counted no less then twenty or so of the enemy, all of which were much higher level (skull & crossbones) than i.  so i promptly yelled out a warning in general and then stood back and watched.  ain't no way i was getting into that fracas.  at the end of the battle, there were skeletons all over the place.  i know, 'cause i was watching from a safe distance!

I turned down the draw distance and it help alot with my fps dont think it ever went under 25 but the combat lag was all over the place. I know many times I shot someone only to have them move out of range with out hte shot ever going off.

Yah, that battle was a buncha fun.  I targeted you at one point Ascendant and was like "Hey, Almost Heroes is here!" I think I was too lagged to get an charge off on ya though.

Looking at the positive responses here, I can pretty much say I'll be in one of those scraps . My UI was bugged and wanted to go fight it out badly , so I missed that scrap . I was at level 9 , but ya know, its all in fun !

That was great fun, even  if my instant spells took about 10 seconds to go off. I didn't even bother with ones that had a casting time!

Good fight Alliance, and let's keep our fingers crossed that the lag lessens as time goes on!

I had a wonderful time. I swear you guys wouldn't let Pharoah get 10 feet from you all. I couldn't get him alone maybe twice and only for a second before the rest of you came to help. Although in the end managed to run him down when he delayed us to buy you guys time.  Didn't get Forge he's next on my list.

I spent all night pretty much going after you first since you were the only high level paladin. I only got ya down a couple times, but boy was it a fun fight. It really wasn't so bad lag wise until the Alliance brought in about 40 reinforcements, but after some resolution twinking, it ran fine when we went back that night.

It was a fun fight.  A good effort on both sides.  BUT the lag was just killing me.  There seemed to be a minimum of 5 seconds of  delay.  As an assassin spec rogue I found it frustrating as I could never stealth.  It always said I was in combat even if I wasn't.  Bah, I'm going ot have to stick to smaller fights.

That's me Forge Was a great battle I only ended tasting dirt twice mainly cause I tangled with two hunters, but all in all great battle.  I think I got you once or twice  Ascendent.

It was great fun, but LAGGY as heck.   We pushed into Astanaar a few times, but the mass of guards just proved too much

All in all, a very fun battle, and a pretty good showing for The Wanderers in our first raid.  I had a lot of the same issues with lag...many times my shots would not take until after my target was gone.  I also had some difficulty identifying just wish target I was on at the moment because the mass of characters blocked the view to the ground.

Can't wait to do it all again.

I commend you on your inventive character and pet names. Gorkha I take it is from the Ghurka troops (from Nepal) and Kukri from their hunting knives. Also known as Ghurka knives.

You know about 15 minutes before you raided when there were a few paladins running through the horde lands attacking your stuff?  It was me and Zaveon, and of course i had to head out, and 15 minutes later, you all come a attacking... I SO wanted to kill Ritt a few times on principle

I went to the Crossroads to defend last night when we got word of the attack.  And boy what a mistake.   The battle was too big, as apparently the server cannot handle so many in one area.  It was a slideshow, and I don't mean graphically I mean the lag was horrendous.  So much so that in my mind big battles are a thing of past for me.  Many of us that arrived left shortly after out of frustration.   I'll help in small skirmishes, but what the hell kind of fun is partaking in a battle so large that what you see on screen happened 5 seconds ago?  No thanks.  Not my idea of fun. :evil:

LMAO!   Man, when I saw that guys guild tag and he was running solo I had to get him, but to my surprise the guild was just around the bend in Stranglethorn.  I dropped a Earthbind totem switched to Ghost Wolf and beat feet.  I made it to Booty Bay, but the guards owned me...

edit-just realized that was the dust up at XR from last night.  Yeah, lag was extremely bad,  I was dead before I knew it.
