I will be on for most of the day today, i've come down with the flu so not going on a family day out. Got peace and quiet and EvE instead.
I also forgot the server shut down is the worst time for EU peeps, 11am for an hour for me.
I have chosen to do all tutorial missions as well. So am happy to help anyone out.
Also if anyone needs some ISK i have some going, just let me know what you need.

I might be on sometime later today, perhaps today's evening would be a better time for the mining op?
Regarding last night, I had some connection issues, related to my own computer, but I do belive I have them sorted now, so no more mysterious vanishing from me :-)

How did everyone's weekend in New Eden go?
I had a blast even though a lot of my time was spent flying to the corp HQ and back. Can't wait to fire it up tonight (after a little obligatory TV watching with the wife).
Hopefully the corp will continue to grow.

Anything that yields nocxium would be particularly useful to the corp right now. I've been making shitloads of antimatter charges and putting them in the corp hangar since many of us use them, and nocxium is by far the least common mineral of those needed. If any of you use antimatter charges feel free to take them from the hangar, in return if you come across any nocxium it'd be very useful if you could leave some in the hangar (mining division). Thanks!
On that subject, I'm slowly gearing up for major production now. If you all want to list here, or mail me directly in game, which ammo types you frequently use I will see what I can do about acquiring blueprints and getting production started.
Edit: Oops! Changed all references to pyerite to nocxium.

Another thing worth noting is the use of Salvagers.
I did the 10 tutorial mission for fighters and from those missions i earnt 3mill isk in salvaging.
The salvaging skill costs 900,000 isk. If anyone needs some isk upfront for this skill im more than happy to give it as it pays back in spades if you do killing rather than mining. The skill doesn't take long to learn either.

I thought you get the book for free in one of the other lines (and that's without even finishing the line itself)... I could be wrong though.

Not sure...you only need to use a civ salvager for the tutorial which I believe doesn't require the skill.

You do get the book for free in the Corporate (Balancing the Books) career introductory missions. I had already bought it for 900k (and as Reemul said, recouped that very quickly). Then, when I went back to do the Balancing the Books missions, I got an extra copy. I just put my extra Salvaging book in the Corporate hanger, if anyone needs it. Not sure...you only need to use a civ salvager for the tutorial which I believe doesn't require the skill.
That is correct. You can use the civ salvager without the skill in the tutorial. Past the tutorial, you will need at least a Salvager 1 module equipped on your ship. I found one of those for 25k.

Well, I'm also in on the 14 day trial. I really like it so far...I have finished all three tutorial chains and outfitted my new frigate just in time for the servers to go down. I plan on heading that direction eventually and joining the corp but I want a few more days in to get a feel for things before I do. I am a little irritated I can only use the assault frigate and not my mining frigate due to trial limitations on certain skills since I'm leaning towards a mining/salvage role. I looked up the corp headqtrs...it's 25 jumps away EDIT: I went ahead and grabbed the steam promotion and upgraded to a full account. I wish I had started the trial through steam too since it would have given me an extra week but I still got 45 days for $15. Now I can work towards training for my mining frigate at least

I looked up the corp headqtrs...it's 25 jumps away Back in the early days 25 jumps would be a huge ordeal....but manually using the overview and the 'warp to zero meters command' has taken a lot of the pain out of long journeys. 25 jumps on auto pilot would still take, what...around an hour? You can manually fly that in 15-20 minutes now.

Hey Eric, welcome to Eve. Like Booner said, 25 jumps isn't too bad at all. Just set your destination, and in the upper left corner you'll see the next system to jump to...warp to the gate at 0 meters distance, then manually jump. It'll go pretty quickly, especially if there's a few of us on to chat with. We'll make your trip easier with all the witty banter Feel free to ask any questions, or for any help at all.

And don't forget, you only need to make the journey once. Welcome aboard! You can apply at the HQ in Clellinon but currently we're based at Amygnon with offices at the X-Sense facility and the Garoun Investment Bank that is 1,400 km from X-Sense.

Guys, on the next login, I'l going to hand over the keys to the Kingdom to Huw, then you guys can decide who's to be CEO.
I dont play enough, nor care enough for the game I can tell already, thus, not fair to you guys...
edit:oh, and I actually think Huw is a GOOD choice :-)

Raz, I didn't see this coming at all! Did anything in particular happen? I thought you were loving the game. nah, just a feeling that I wont subscribe after the first month. I mean, I like the game well enough, but not enough that I'm excited to log in. Thus, before commiting to the workload and effort that a CEO/Guildleader DOES require, and before we get to far into the game, I think it best to give it over to someone else who really loves it :-) I may stick around, not sure yet, but the above coupled with lack of time makes it the right decision for everyone :-)

Wooo! Did you take a look inside?
As for the corporation...first I want to thank Razgon for founding it and doing a great job setting it up and getting everybody on board. It's much appreciated! But now we need to decide on a new CEO. Would everyone who's interested please say so here and then we can make a decision later?

Your link of the day to the starter guide to EVE Online: http://www.battleclinic.com/forum/index.php/topic,3510.0.html(you'll see a download link in the first post - and no, you don't have to register to grab it) It's slightly outdated, but the stuff that it's missing won't affect you at all for the first few months. Additionally, you'll want this: EVEMon. It'll let you keep track of any skill training and such you do, and let you plan out for future training. It's not as needed as it was before thanks to the skill training queues, but it'll help in many ways. Thanks for these links! Especially EVEMon! I don't have a lot of time to play this game, so for a while now, I've basically been paying to keep leveling up my character. This way when I di get out to play, I am not too far behind. The EveMon thing will help so I can see when my long training time skills are almost done...

Yep....we stumbled upon some very very bad things in there. We fled to a planet within about 20 seconds of an encounter in there, so we couldn't really give a good report of what is being guarded in there...we'd have to have a real show of force to do any serious wormhole exploration. As for the corporation...first I want to thank Razgon for founding it and doing a great job setting it up and getting everybody on board. It's much appreciated!
I concur!

I'm not sure which of you guys are interested in taking on the role of corp CEO, but if we could have 2, I'd nominate Huw and Booner that way we've got 2 senior members covering a wide range of time zones.
I'd support anyone here at GT/OO that would like to take the role.
That Wormhole was pretty cool, but as Booner said we didn't stick around to see if those Sleepers were gonna put on a pot of coffee for us. That sentry gun took a big shot at Booner, and we turned tail and fled. I'm just starting to get the hang of scanner probes, but it's pretty cool and I'm looking forward to doing more with exploration.

You can't have two CEOs, although a director can do 99% of what a CEO can. The question is, what does Booner think of being CEO?

oh, regarding CEO skills - someone better train a few levels of Corp management, and Etnical relations as well, or some members (Non-CEOrace) may be kicked
Let me know what that has happened, and I'll transfer CEOship

I believe I have sufficient skills now, I have been training since you said you'd be making me acting CEO. Booner, you're not interested in the job? So far only you and I have been mentioned by anyone. I'm willing to do it on a permanent basis but if anyone else wants a crack at it I'd be more than happy to have it put to a vote or whatever. Isn't anyone interested?

Well right now is a bad time for me to take a serious role in organizing anything...once my next contracts come in there's a big chance that my time will easily be cut to a 1/3rd of what I'm able to do now. Then there is the matter of me getting my replacement debit card in the mail so that I can actually upgrade my account, with two days left on the trial, I may disappear from New Eden for a time. Not long I hope. Anyways...I finally got in good with a level II agent earlier that has sent me on some real doozies already. The level 2 version of "The Blockade" took about 2-1/2 hours to complete and I was faced by wave after wave of destroyers, t2 frigates, and plenty of cruisers (ended up being a total of around 50 ships). The next time I run across this mission, I'll delay acceptance and see if I can enlist some of you pew pew addicts to jump in the fray. Between bounties, pay, bonuses, and loot...I made about 1.6 mil on this mission. If anyone can salvage...I'd recommend bringing your equipment along. Here's a quick pic I took maybe a bit over half way through the battle...

I think we'll be looking to restructure the corporation at some point and get proper divions set up with respective access rights and so on, so you can be enrolled in the industrial division. I hate to suggest access rights, but at some point we're going to have to expand if we don't want to spend all our time (as a corp) in highsec, so obviously the current system where everyone has access to everything just won't work. Booner, no problem. But if nobody comes forward and expresses interest in the CEO job soon you're all going to be stuck with me!

When you do a big mission like that what you want to do is bookmark the wrecks in each room. Then after you turn in the mission you can go back and salvage and you can use mwd to get around. And tractor beams train for them love them everything less than 20km can be pulled to you. As for hanger access I wondering if we could put some http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Station_Vault in the corp hanger so I can swap ore between my hauler and refiner. I'll pay for a few to see if they work if it's ok.
