Guild signups (officially) have not started yet. We are still voting on what kind of guild it will be...see here:

this poll is open till Open Beta starts..Monday. Then we are gonig to start official sign ups and hopefully start working on a name for the guild..so..its not too late for anyone yet!!

Seriously though, we do need some constructive name ideas

Warning-not that I am assuming I am calling the shots, but my gut feeling is that there is no point in doing any more than informal gatherings until retail-unless the don't wipe (and I see this as a .000001% chance), we should just get organized here or wherever, and get ready for retail.

I hope once the poll closes monday, we can get a roster of people who are going to play, decide on a name, and start organizing. Thats my goal.

Well, we could recruit people during open beta, maybe building up our numbers with seemingly normal friendly people.  Even with a wipe, we can advertise CG to the new recruits and have them join up come retail.

OK this makes a lot of sense to me, but it seems like it would make more sense after we get our guild structure and organization somewhat more concrete so we actually have someone/somewhere to send potential new recruits.

In general, if I remember what the Wanderers did, and I think this makes really good sense-somoene has to personally vouch for a person, who then becomes a recruit, and has an extensive trial period. The only people exempt from this will be Consoler Golders or verifiable ex-Gone Golders that have the 10 posts to get beyond newbie status on the forums...thoughts?

Technically, this answer is still unknown, as Blizzard insists on continuing the joke that they might actually consider not wiping characters. This is simply not going to happen, so lets presume on a full wipe.

Well you could go warcraft geeky and use something relevant to their storyline, like Alliance of Lordaeron, the Arathorian Empire, Knights of Azeroth, or something like that.  Im not sufficiently geeky to know whether something is being used ingame or not.

I wouldnt want the guild to be confused with the other site that was originally named Brutesquad.net, and frnakly, I always though it was a positively stupid nickname for GGers.
