the overwhelming majority voted for Alliance/PvE. We acn also pursue starting a Horde/PvP alt guild on another server if we desire. So, with that out of the way, we need to start thinking about guild structure and heirarchy, and continue the name discussion found here: http://www.consolegold.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2489Any ideas are great of course. A few initial ideas for structure Guildmaster Vice-Guildmaster type dude Officers Regulars Recruits. The roles should be fairly explanatory. In WoW, only officers can invite..which would mean that initially we would do it so that everyone on CG that can be verified by another CGer woudl become an officer and founding member. We would also need our own website. I have space that can be used for such a thing if someone knows some remedial HTML (hey, I was the Editor in chief, not the webmaster of my old site ). So..any other thoughts? we should really have a name decided around when they announce the server names so we can pick one.

Well, I'll jump in and say that I cannot run a CG WoW guild as I'm already part of a very very large guild. That said, when we get into final I'll make my character names known on the boards, if you see me on, track me down and we'll adventure.

Well since you apparently wanted realistic suggestions, I'll give it a shot. I was thinking of something along the lines of the late, not-quite-great Chris Farley. Almost Heroes Or, if you want to take yourselves super-seriously, like an EQ Guild, it's relatively easy to come up with mysterious, "look at us, we're badass and we probably even read the background story in the manual!" sounding names, like: Guardians of the Ancient Flame Order of the Stars Keepers of Forgotten Lore And, of course, there's the "we really did read the background story in the manual!" tack: Inheritance of Azeroth Vengeance of Stormwind etc. And then you can base the player titles around them. For example, a recruit in almost heroes can be "almost a member." Or, more seriously (as I guess is the want), you could go on one of my super-elite examples above and use: Keepers of the Forgotten Lore Sacred Keeper of the Final Truth (Guildmaster) Arbiter of Sacred Words (Assisant Guildmaster) Blade of Truth (Officer/Keep the maggots in line type of guy) Exalted Librarian (Member) Acolyte of the Word (Recruit) This probably isn't a bad way to go about it, actually. Even if you're a member, your title makes you sound like a badass. And if someone gives you lip about being a librarian, you can ask them how many librarians run around with two-handed swords chopping stuff up? CONAN THE LIBRARIAN, maybe. Ok, that was pretty lame, I admit. But I like them better than the previous suggestions.

With all the griping in the other threads, are people still in for the game in general?
I have no real preference in the name, I just want it to be a strong guild that people play in for a bit, and not drop after a couple weeks.
I'd be curious what characters people are thinking of playing as well.

Since it's so easy to create alts, I won't mind filling in a much needed role in the group. I like the support classes in particular, with a certain fondness for druids, priests, hunters, and shamans.
I'm not much of a min/max type of player, so even with all the bitching about certain combinations being less than ideal, it doesn't bother me.

For my part for a class, I'm learning towards:
Night elf Druid - played one a bit and having fun so far, even if it is not the most powerful class Night elf/Dwarven hunter - looks tempting to play, looks fun when I see the other hunters, but I worry there are to many hunters running around Human paladin - looks hot in the armor ;-)... seriously, never played a warrior in a pvp, so could be fun.

Ok, don't laugh at me, but I just realized that FilePlanet subscribers get a stress test account.

OMFG. I cannot believe I forgot Monstrous Regiment. How freaking cool is that?
Wow, I love that name. Later tongith I will do a poll narrowed down to about 10 names.
I am going to have two mains, a mage and warrior. Not sure which one is the alt yet, but whether or not you guys decide to have me as the guild leader, I have more than enough time and experience in the game to get us set up wit h the charter and tell people where to go, etc.
Im jsut excited about getting a guild going. I know you see me bitching in every thread I can find about the new patch. frankly, I hate everything about it except the warrior improvements. Right now, it is likely I will play warrior or perhaps paladin with the mage alt..but if the rollback some of the changes I will go back to mage.
I am going to leave this thread up for names, general suggestions, and go ahead and create a thread for unofficial recruiting. I want to get organized, because as much as I bitch I am still going to be all over this game.

I sense this entire post was Valhuerdi gently suggesting that I not take myself so seriously  I really dont want this to be an uber-leet EQ2 guild. I want it to be a fun guild where members concentrate on having fun and HELPING EACH OTHER. I just sort of immediately got turned off when you suggested the brute squad because I am trying to make this a CG guild in an of itself. Plus, it was late, leave me alone Val
