Me! My Xbox won't be back until early next week though, so I'll have to wait. When it comes back it'll have a nice 160 gig HD and modchip in it though, so the wait is well worth it

Many places will have it today, most will have it tomorrow. EA shipped them out on Friday more than likely, so many places close to the warehouse probably will have it later today.
It's all a guessing game really...

Canada usually has releases 1-2 days after the US release date (although thankfully Halo2 is supposed to be the same day).
I'll have it on the first day I can get it.

Like I said about my poor Top Spin play: Maybe I'll be better off with the X-Box turned on and not plugged into any video source! It might not matter!

That post about Top Spin was actually one of your funniest posts ever!
I wish I could find the direct quote. That was a classic.
Now... on to Burnout 3. I will be picking this up on Wednesday after work for certain.
I have played the Burnout series of games probably for a grand total of 1 hour, so I may need some help from the experts.
And "No", kicking my ass in a race and making me crash is not 'help'. I mean like arcade driving game help.
See you online soon.

Why the hell are we gonna race when we have online CRASH mode... I can't wait to shake off the rust and start posting 100 million plus crashes...

I haven't decided if I'm going to play this on Live yet or not. I think I might want to go through and finish the whole singleplayer first. Which, at my current rate, should take me about halfway into tomorrow afternoon.
Also, I'd like to see one of these 100 million plus crashes.
I've currently wrecked every single vehicle in an entire level a couple of times, managed to grab every pickup (minus the heartbreaker of course) and still only nabbed just over 3 million.
Don't get me wrong.. I'd say its perfectly believable. I've never been the best at any game much less this one, it's just something i'd truly love to see, so I could learn to do it.

I was browsing through the Live records for 3 just last night.. but as the game's been out for exactly one day I didn't see much.
If you're talking about Burnout 2.. I don't own it anymore. I got rid of it about 3 weeks ago.

Well with multipliers now in the game it's very possible to get huge scores and there are some huge crash scores...
However, mine was in Burnout 2, I can't remember which junction it was, but it was wild. Came into the t intersection and hit a 18 wheeler and got wedged in between a bus and the truck, because of the in game physics it caused the bus to rocket into the air and do some crazy twist, landed on pretty much everything and it was just wild watching the points rack up. made me kick myself for not having the Xbox version so I could post the score. However I did have a few eyewitnesses.

Played some online last night - didn't get booted once! This was late, late Pacific time, so the lack of people might have had something to do with it. Stiffler and I plan on getting our game on tonight - so if anyone else wants to join, before we decide on who hosts or whatever, we'll post in here somewhere.

Saturday night.
I am NOT going out!
We need to play some team Burnout3.
This game is so much fun, it's unreal.
Who's available?
Name a time. I am thinking we start about 10:00 or 11:00 EST.
Let me know.

Is it easy to link up with people in the game? I played online this weekend and loved every minute of it. Does the Live! Buddy list work in BO3?

I've been too busy unlocking cars. No live aware, and I hate the "connecting to EA" thing, and then everyone was offline, even though on the dashboard *and* on the live notifications on my MSN Messenger said people were playing. <sigh> Looks like I'm not the only one with EA network problems.

Yes, hooking up with people to play seems to be quite an issue.
But the EA Machine continues to roll on, no matter how badly they manage to screw things up.
I am just thankful the game itself is SO well done.

I was online for 4 hours yesterday; hosting games. (RoadRage)
God I love EA. Way to take something that works and Eff it up.
14 dropped players, 3 frozen players, 8 game crashes (where everyone was kicked out of the game, and right outta live), 4 hard crashes trying to go online again; it crashed my Xbox to a lovely black screen. Not just my xbox, but at least one other user. This is *after* they applied a fix. It seems to happen more in primetime... later in the night the problems reduced (although never really went away)
Maybe on the load screens, rather than asking if I've played "X" track or use boost, to instead ask : "Have you rebooted yet? EA Online offers exciting powerbutton interaction with your hardware devices"
new advertising suggestion : EA - Crash Everything.

I've played for 3 or 4 hours straight without a hitch. Their setup still sucks compared to other Live games, imho, but I haven't been dropped or anything like that.

Anyone up for some CG/GG action on Burnout 3 on Live tonight? Turnout last Wednesday was pretty good for a while...had 6-8 people the entire time.
Who's in, and what time?
I'll host if we get enough people.
