I'm still focusing on my Thog character (I'd like to see how the 30-40 Destiny stuff is, I'm just about 28), but I'm definitely doing subsequent ones on Derketo and I'll see about joining up if I pass mustard.  icon_cool

Pepto-Bismol is pretty good for things like passing mustard....A bit of ointment wont hurt either.....

I love you guys....

But "The Wanderers" is the most appropriate name for this guild that could ever been devised.    You guys hang around in a game in mass numbers for 60 days and then numbers dwindle to a fraction of their former glory seemingly overnight.

And I could throw a carebear moniker in there too but I wont.  slywink

Don't worry my friend, we will make ample use of your healing powers once you get some levels under your belt. We took a group into Sanctum last night (high 30s zone) and got utterly pwned without a healer. They are definitely an essential key to group encounters.

Well I'd better hook up with regular group mates or I won't last. Tongue

PoM's are ridiculous easy to level. Once you get repluse it's really easy. I can take 3-4 guys fairly easily if they are even level. The trick is knowing that your spells can damage enemies close together. So once a guy is almost dead just move on the next. Eventually in your talent tree, you can get a talent that gives you 100% to cast emanation of life upon a melee strike, so yeah. i think fc did a good job of making the priest not suck in pve as solo.

+1.   I made a PoM tonight and 5 hours later I'm level 15 about to make my final push out of Tortage.

I have a priest of whatever - the healingest healer of the healers on Derketo named Aystin.  I only made it to 6 or 7 in the hour I had to play last night.  I'm not really enjoying the healing right now, but that might because I don't have anyone to heal.  Smite, Smite, Smite, Smite, Regen self, Smite, Smite, Smite.   wasted

Austin, stick with it, they really start becoming kick ass in their mid teens, even a bit before that. They can seriously dps for a healer, and leveling is actually fun. It gets better in a few levels. Am a 51 POM (which i believe you are), and i can rock da kasbah with my toon.

Take a look at the Wanderer's forum. They have a list of Officers and their ingame names and such. I don't know if everybody has guild invite powers or not.

The guild photo shoot was fun last night. Rittch looked fabulous as always in cape and alligator skin loincloth, and the female toons were kind enough to run around half-naked. It was a bit nerve-wracking to be around so many Wanderers at one time; I thought our awesome level was going to crash the zone.

ahh ok, I see your winky. Bugfest? I don't think it is at all. Now I admit I'm only 31 at the moment. But for a game in these early stages of its life I think its doing ok in that department.
There isn't a prettier MMO on the market. The music is just a treat. The combat is "different" enough to feel like a change from the WoW way of things.
But anyway like I said, I see your winky and know you're just trying to yank some chains.

sorry for the crankiness last night after i discovered that i was still having issues with my dark templar Kaij and his buffs.  i had just experienced yet another construction zone on my way home from work earlier and i had been looking forward to some mindless hack and slash to vent my anger...only to find that i had 75 buff icons lined up on top of my screen, debuffs from mobs that wouldn't go away, and a character who kept growing and shrinking like Ant Man on acid.   icon_frown

it's kind of annoying.  the night before last I was on a roll and went from 30 to 33, and then last night it seemed like I struggled to get to 34.  I blame the Gathering quests mostly, alot of running around, getting excited to finally find a resource I need to get and then finding out it's tapped out.  too bad they can't make a limited use instance for resource gathering where there'd be random resources available in it.

Yeah, I'm not totally sold on the static nodes idea. I sort of preferred EQ2's  implementation where the resources spawned randomly. I think if they're going to do static nodes, they need to up the regen rate significantly.

Wow....

It took the rest of my night to install and patch.   I got home with it...visited with wife.... got on at 10 pm, and went to bed with it patching at 11:30.

Tonight I'll start things off.

I used to love to play a Priest in Everquest -- which of the healer types is most like that in this game?

Unlike priest in EQ, the ones in this game are perfectly capable of dishing out as much damage as they heal.

there's not much they can tale away from the PoM and keep it a viable class, especially in the single player portion.  Now I hear the Tempest of Sets have something that is probably going to be nerfed, but it sounds like it is an ability that got screwed up in the first place.

Speaking of The Sanctum.....last nights run turned out really well. A wanderers group consisting of a ToS, BS, HoX, Barb, DT, and a PoM, took the entire place down in around 40 minutes without a single close call.
