Just for fun I took my lvl 19 rogue for a long swim and ended up in the “Druid Only” Moonglade. Was worth the time it took just to hear some responses from the other players there.
Just thought it was funny and had to share.

I swam my human rogue to Booty Bay when he was 15.....wish they'd fix the fishing there.

That's pretty cool, Lordnine! How long did it take you to swim there?

I thought that swimming past a certain point would enable the fatigue countdown and eventually you'd die? how can you swim to other shores with this limitation?

In all it took about 35 minutes to swim there. Ten of which was spent trying to find a low enough mountain ridge to get in though; anyone who has ever been to Moonglade knows that it’s completely surrounded by high mountains. It helped that I have a druid friend who was guiding me to what she though would be the lowest points.
As to fatigue it’s not really an issue. I’m an elf so one of my cities (Auberdine) is not that far from Moonglade, I just had to stick to the coast and stay out of black water.
I have a few screen shots but I’m having trouble posting them

I tried to do this once, in beta. I can't actually recall whether or not the zone had been opened yet, though, so that might have been one of the problems. ;P
The shore is
very
mountainous. I must have swum around 2/3 of the perimeter before I gave up. You can access the shore in many areas, but scaling the hills is a different matter.

Just swim near the coast to keep from losing fatique..seems to only drop if you are out in open ocean.
