Free to play (no, really Free, not F2P, there is nothing you can buy) and in open beta on steam.

Quite fun, much like the previous ones.  It's more like a game though and less like a sim imo.

Obviously the games are created as recruiting tools, but America's Army was a fun game.

Was there a ceremony when I enlisted? I don't remember that. I think we have raised our right hands and said something, but it was in a little room with school desks for signing the contract. I guess you could call that a school desk. The Marines might be more formal about it.

being sworn in can be as simple or complex as the officer doing the swearing in wants it to be.  My father swore me in, it was a simple affair
