[360] Madden 10 Online Franchise - Week 10

Everyone, thanks for your patience in letting Ike and I get our game in. And what an awesome game it was.

For the most part the Eagles shut Tomlinson down. It was when the Chargers got into a hurry-up style Run-N-Shoot offense they started racking up yards close to the end of the first half, which finished 10-7 with Ike scoring a touchdown late to pull to within 3.

In the second half turnovers cost the Chargers 10 more points. Ike's red zone defense really saved the day, he didn't let the score get out of control. 20-7 Eagles with about 6 minutes left. The Chargers Run-N-Shoot Offense put 7 more up on the board with just a couple minutes left...20-14 Eagles. Then a couple traded turnovers followed by a stalled Eagle drive set the stage for a photo finish. Ike drove down the field and scored the go ahead TD with about 26 seconds left. Despite having all 3 timeouts, the Eagles couldn't get anything back, and I threw an INT to end it.

21-20 Chargers. Great game. It was worth the wait...for us at least

It was a hell of a game.  I made some terrible mistakes including a botched 4th and short from my own 36 and something like 3 turnovers.  I had two great drives at the end though and pulled it out.  BEEF played a great game.  Lots of fun.

Got my game in this afternoon against the CPU. Won 10-7 with my backup QB getting player of the game. First game I've played with the new patch and I must say I'm impressed. I actually got a sack without the QB tossing the ball away like a idiot AND the tackle animations seem more varied now. I could be imagining the second part.

Browns beat up on the hapless Lions 28-6.

Jamal Lewis bullied a bad Lion defense for 236 yards rushing with 2 TD as the Browns improved to 6-4 on the year.

Bunch of things I'd have to dig up the list. Biggest thing for me was the lowering of the amount of lame duck passes the AI would get off with the QB's when getting sacked. Drove me nuts.

My Cowboys played another horrendous offensive game but managed to beat the Redskins on special teams and defensive TDs. I have a great kickoff return for TD highlight that I wasn't able to upload yesterday. I read the defense perfectly, got in position to get a huge block, and got a great juke at the end to make it into the end zone. The increased replay time is perfect - it was easily able to get the whole play in.

On the other hand, the

appears to be exactly the same as it was. This happened to me a ton of times in the game - I got to the QB and the ball went fluttering out onto the ground. I didn't manage a single sack.

I would like to keep it going, but I've failed at prodding people to play their games. Just like with work, I'm going to have to get back into the swing of pushing this thing along.

So far, it looks like the following people still need to get their games in: IkeV vs. ForsakenPenguin; BEEFHAMMA vs. Cowboys59; with Stockbroker and PeteRock playing the CPU.

I'll send out PM's and see what type of response we can get.

If anyone doesn't want to be in the league anymore, please take the five minutes to manually quit the league. It would help speed things along for those of us that want to continue it. Also, you'll be able to join back up with the league should you change your mind. Getting banned though is like herpes, that sh*t is for life.

I must just be cranky from yesterdays ugly real game.  Good thing the Patriots in Madden 10 are better than the Patriots in real life.

Oh shoot, totally forgot about this issue. So, I played my last game, but now due to my housing crisis my 360 is now packed up. I don't know when I will be back online - it will likely be mid-february at the earliest, and more likely some time in March.

I would like to continue playing, so if it is possible to just set me away for the near future that would be great. I don't think the Cowboys are making the playoffs in the virtual 2009 season, anyway. If I have to get kicked from the league that will just have to be the way it is.

I'd think that's a good idea. We just hold the spot and keep things going. It's not like the league really keeps track of anything a user does just the team... It's not like we have people banging down the doors to join anyway.

Yeah, it wont be a problem to hold the Cowboys for you. Just make sure that you are able to log on and exit out of the franchise. You might be able to do it from the website, but I don't know.

I've tried to schedule the game with him via XBL messages.  I don't think it's too much to ask that people in the league check the boards.  I've posted here several times.  I shouldn't have to go through his dad.

Hey Guys,

I really hate playing the CPU.  I may have to bow out of the league because out of this.

Basically, the time that I get to play I don't want to spend it playing against the CPU, hope you understand.

I think we should have a tournament or something, where every game is with a human.  I'd be all over that.

We could even have a small pot $5 or so to play to make it fun.

Just a thought.
