I've been a little behind with posting the usual Friday Night Fight Halo 3 thread, and I'm wondering if there are still people looking forward to what has so far been a weekly tradition.  Last week we yet again managed to completely fill a party, and I'm wondering if that level of interest is still going strong.

This week my wife will be staying at our friend's place to prepare for a big pre-Thanksgiving party our friends are hosting on Saturday, and so she won't be home to participate in the Halo 3 festivities.  However, she may log on again under one of our friend's accounts (last week I think she played as ChiBlues), so she may not be completely absent.  It depends on how much food prep and set-up remains to be done Friday night, which I'm guessing will be a lot as our friends aren't very organized (hence the need for my wife to lend a hand).

If there's still interest I'll continue to do my Friday night hosting duties, but the reason why I ask is because ATB (SensuousLettuce) is gauging interest in playing Gears of War MP Friday night and I am certainly interested in a little "retro" MP action.  However, I'm not going to leave my Halo 3 peeps hanging.  Plus, if the party size doesn't get too large we can dabble in social matches to earn more experience points.

If there's still interest, I'll be there as usual on Friday night at 7pm MST to get the Halo 3 action started.

Send me an invite if you see me on.  I will probably opt for the COD4 option if it's available though.

I'll be the devil's advocate here and say that if Moose isn't going to be home, then WTF are you thinking playing H3 instead of COD4? slywink

You spend so much time looking for an excuse to play without upseting her by not playing H3, then get the perfect op. heh  ninja

I can only take COD4 in small doses before it becomes horribly frustrating for me.  After I was unceremoniously dropped from our hardcore game I tried jumping into a random team deathmatch game and wound up leading all players, even though everyone was a much higher rank, in three straight games.  And then I decided to call it a night and played a quick ranked Madden game with a friend before going to bed.  But inevitably for every one good game I have I experience five horrible games that have me swearing even more often than I normally do and trying like mad not to put my controller through my TV (I already put a dent in the drywall next to our 1st floor bathroom that I had to fix up this week - these controllers are surprisingly durable).

Plus, I've played a fair bit of COD4 this week (at least for me), and I can't let down the Halo 3 faithful (or those who don't have COD4).

Agreed. I find that it's much easier to get frustrated in COD4 and i think it's because of the wide ranging gaps between level 50s and level 10s.  Matchmaking with peers would be great.

May be up for this.  If Moriarty isn't to exhausted from work I'm sure she'll jump in as well.

Had some fun games tonight.  The Kato and Jarrod rocket race team made it's triumphant return to the field.

Too bad we didn't manage to get more than 6 people in at once.

Whenever I get my 360 back - I wouldn't mind jumping in a game like this. I gave up playing online back in Halo2 just because I got tired of dealing with the crap associated  - so a game with some fellow GTers (especially older ones like myself) would probably hit the spot.
