At Purge's request, and because of last Friday's amazing turnout (two full OO/GT 16-person games taking place simultaneously ) I will again attempt to organize a Friday evening of death and destruction for the GT/OO retirement communities. Initially I was concerned that I would not be able to due to visiting guests, but they plan to spend the day in Sedona, and when they get back they will be ready to crash at their hotel, especially since they have a six-month-old child. And so I will not have guests to entertain on Friday night, and once my wife discovered this she immediately screamed "SNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPE" (which has long been our term of endearment for Halo MP) and then ordered me to organize another game. And so here I am, again lobbying for community participation in another night of Halo 3 MP. Expect a variety of game modes, plenty of map rotation, both team-based and solo competitions, and a whole hell of a lot of destruction. My wife has already vowed her participation, and she may even go so far as to actually turn her mic on and participate outside of just silent, merciless killing. Last week we had trouble with a mic echo, and I am not sure what would be the cause (my connection is wired straight into our digital cable modem so it should be fairly strong), but if we run into the same problem all we have to do is switch party leader and that seemed to elliminate the problem. My wife and I plan to be online around 7pm Arizona time (just like last week, which is the equivalent of 7pm Pacific, 8pm Mountain, 9pm Central, or 10pm Eastern). It is a slight possibility that we could be on sooner, but you can be certain that we will be online no later than 7pm. As usual, everyone is welcome to express interest in this thread, and like last week, participation will be on a first-come first-serve basis. The first to respond to invites will be the first to participate in the game (or, the first to "join session in progress"). Our game will also be open to anyone on my Friends list, so if slots are open, feel free to join in at any time. And if some are unable to join, if turnout is anywhere near as successful as last week, there will most likely be multiple games going on at the same time. After Saturday's entertaining matches and last night's fun with rockets my wife and I are really looking forward to playing with everyone again.

What doesn't irritate you? Far be it from me to avoid an opportunity to add to it. At least on Friday all you'll have to listen to is the sound of my bullets riddling your body. No reading required. Besides, if you think that is overly wordy, you obviously haven't been in here.

Well, for those who played with me last night, my finger is in fact broken. I have a pretty good diagonal fracture in the first bone of my left ring finger. I will still be in attendance Friday night, but I definitely need to see how the splint impacts how I hold the controller. I feel like some kind of idiot, unable to type, had trouble getting my phone out of my pocket, bumping my splinted finger into things. And typing is teh suck.

Aw too bad, me and Hark had some awesome games with his cousins this afternoon. Including an absolutely spectacular hammer zombie game.... http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=25166299&player=CSL%20GTI made my last stand atop the rock launcher and took out at least 10 of them before I finally went down, got the Hell's Janitor award out of it.

HOw'd you break it?
Simba tried to take off while we were at the park last night and whne I grabbed his collar my finger went through the leash loop and snapped sideways. A skinny little ring finger can in fact stop an 85-pound dog. Just not wihtout a few consequences. But, I'd rathr s broeken finger than Simba potentielly being hit by a car.

Sorry about the broken finger (but I'd break a couple and deal with it over my dog getting hurt too)
If I'm on, I'd love to join everyone again! Had a blast last week.

PR, sorry to hear about your pain. Now maybe I'll stand a chance against you tomorrow night! (see if you could convince your wife to break the other one to even things out). It's not my trigger finger. Although now I'm being forced to reevaluate my availability for Friday night. One of my clostet childhood friends is in town with his wife and new baby, and they were supposed to be in Sedona all day (and night) on Friday, leaving me and my wife free to kill all of you. Unfortunately, their plans changed slightly and they may have gone to Sedona today, leaving them open for Friday night to get together for dinner. I won't know what tomorrow looks like until later today, but I'm hoping that with them still adjusting to the time change, the exhausting trip to Sedona today, and a cranky, tired child, they should most likely be on their way back to the hotel relatively early Friday evening. There is a slight possibility that I might miss kicking off the night's mayhem, but the moment they step out my front door my wife and I will be online. I'll know more once I talk to them.

I just discussed that problem with them over the phone and clarified just how much of a detrimental impact they were having on my imaginary online friendships, and it just so happens that they have a function to attend Friday night starting at 6pm, leaving me and my wife with plenty of time to log on for our 7pm frag fest. See, I do in fact put my online imaginary friends first. Real friends are for suckers.
