I know how you feel. It wouldn't be the same without you. What's funny is my wife isn't a member of GT, and she's only played with you a few times, but after I explained to her the origins of "Don't be a dick", the phrase has now become a regular part of her vocabulary, and whenever she sees you online or if she kills you in Halo she can't help but say, "Don't be a dick, Ike."  We should play some Forza 2 again soon. Wrong thread spamtard!  The only cars you should want to drive are the mongoose and the warthog.   |

You don't merely join. You have to be invited.  I'm pretty sure I have you on my Friends list (I think you sent me an invite to play R6 but I wasn't able to play at the time), so I'll make sure to send you an invite if I see you online. The only reason I set the game for "invite only" is because one Friday night we had people joining the game from others' friends lists, and before long a few of us were playing with people we didn't know or recognize, and part of the fun is playing with people you know. Festivities kick off at 7pm Pacific, when I'll start bombarding everyone with invites. Shortly after that we commence with carnage and pure mayhem. See you tonight. |

I also came across a new game variant today while perusing Bungie.net. The game is called "Racetracks". The object of the game is to race a mongoose around a level and be the first across the finish line (or to complete the necessary number of laps). Unlike Rocket Race, each person is their own team and rides on their own mongoose. The games can be played with up to 16 people, and a series of maps have been created to accomodate this game type (although I've only downloaded a few as a "test run" in case it really isn't that good of a game). I only downloaded everything today while at work, and I have yet to give it a try, but my wife and I might test it out after work before the official start of our Friday get-together just to make sure it isn't an atrocious nightmare. If you guys think it sounds intriguing, perhaps we can all try it out. It's something new and in theory it sounded like it could be fun. I know I enjoy racing around on mongooses when we play Rocket Race, and this takes away the frustration of being tossed around by rocket explosions and also allows everyone to drive rather than one person being forced to ride on the back of someone else's vehicle. I think it's at least worth a try. It can't be worse than zombies. |
