I just upgraded my system to XP and after installing SP 2 it installed a firewall onto my system, which wasn't a bad thing, but now after a bit of browsing I can't access the internet anymore.

After a reboot I can access the internet just fine but at some point I'll close the browser and when I go to open it back up nothing will load, and it will just say done down at the bottom of the browser.

Any ideas what I need to do to the firewall to stop this from happening? It's a little bothersome having to reboot whenever we want to use the internet.

Thanks...

That doesn't really sound like the firewall causing the problem. At least not the built in XP firewall. Do you have any other firewall software installed, or do you have a router?

This is a new harddrive so I don't believe there is other firewall software installed.

I have the internet connected straight into my computer.

Fixed it...just completely deleted SP 2 from my harddrive...everything is back to normal now.
