I have a Netgear N600 dual band (2.4 and 5.0 ghz) wireless N router to which I have attached a Brother laser printer via an ethernet cable. When I go to print documents from a laptop connected wirelessly, I can only print if the laptop is connected on the 5.0 ghz frequency, but not on the 2.4 ghz frequency. Has anyone else had this problem? One of my laptops only has 2.4 ghz wireless N, so I can't print from it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you know the IP address of the printer I'd try pinging it from the 2.4ghz machine.  If the ping works you should be able to set that address up as a usable port to print to.

By any chance, is your router set up with a "guest" wireless network?  Guest networks allow wireless access to the internet only, and block access to internal devices (home desktops, printers, file servers).
