Chrome issues after Windows 8 upgrade - 'double tapping' to get pages to load.

I upgraded to Windows 8 from Windows 7, using the upgrade, not a fresh install, and everything mostly is going swimmingly.
However, I've got a weird issue in Chrome where maybe 50% of the time when I open a link, it says it can't be found with an error (generally: This webpage is not available. Error 137 (net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED): Unknown error.)
If I then refresh the page or hit the link again, it loads right up.
Anyone seen this or have any ideas?

I have almost the opposite problem -- when I open a page, it repeatedly loads it to where the 'back' button is useless.
