Weird Flash video issue

Started about a week ago, but anytime I try to access a site that uses Flash encoded video, I can never get it to load. It either just sits on a black screen or gives some variation of "connection error" message. Oddly, the 15-30 second commercials proceeding the videos always load, but not the actual video. Just tested it tonight and had the same problem on NFL.com, Dailyshow.com, Hulu.com, ESPN.com, and a couple others, so it has to be a problem on my end. Also oddly, Youtube streaming seems to work fine though. I've done a Flash player update, and it says I'm running the most current version.
If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.

Which browser and OS?
Have you tried deleting the plugin entirely? Do you have add-ins that block flash video?

Yeah, that would probably help.
Firefox 5.0. No add-ons installed other than the basics (Java, Flash, Quicktime, Silverlight, etc).
I'll try deleting/reinstalling and see what happens...
