It looks sexy.

I couldn't justify it at that price.  I'm sure it will be cheaper by the time I'm getting my new rig in Winter/Spring.  I'm not sure the old one could support that resolution at usable speeds.

Anyone seen one/used one?  Is it really good or am I just falling for marketing?

Looks like this would rival the Dell and Apple high end beauties.  If I were in the market for a monitor, I'd really only look at those three.  The quality is staggeringly nice.

The stars . . . they are so beautiful.  I am weak.  It was on sale.  Other than the brightness, I love the default calibration.  I will need a new rig to truly take advantage of it.  Until then I will see what I get to run a playable speeds.  I considered the Dells, but the quality control even on the top monitors seemed so hit and miss (based on reviews).  My one nitpick is why are the USB ports only 2.0?  I think I'm in love.

How much of a sale was it on? Showing 999$ at the 'egg.

Atomic

* TheAtomicKid is still running his perfectly serviceable LP2475w and is not really feeling much envy for higher resolutions yet...

It was $899 on Tiger or $920 on Amazon depending on which is better for your tax/shipping circumstances.

I love this part from Amazon:

Finely Tuned
Each manually calibrated Series 9 Monitor undergoes an expert, hour-long adjustment process before it reaches your home or office ensuring you get the highest-quality images right out of the box. And once it's yours the built-in calibration engine enables in-home adjustments for the perfect picture every time.

I'd probably get the one adjusted by Stefano the drunkie.
