Ive always used Nero in the past. It was small and fast. Never messed up. The version 7 came out and it was all bloatware. I had a free version 6 that came with my recorder but version 7 was jus ta 30 day trial. It was ok but now it wont work . So Im need a good free burning app. Any ideas?

Why not go back to Nero 6 then?  It's pretty much all I use.

I'll admit I don't burn on a regular basis, but I've never had a lick of trouble out of cdburnerxp. It does everything I need, and it doesnt install a bunch of bloat into the system. Nothing runs in the background, etc, which was one of the reasons I tried it in the first place.

http://www.videohelp.com/ may give you some more ideas to run with.

Yeah, just stick with Nero 6 - I use it all the time, and really haven't seen any need to upgrade to 7.

My two favorite CD burn apps are Nero and Goldenhawk CDR-Win.  I've mainly stuck with Nero for the past few years because I no longer need all the flexibility CDR-Win provides: CDR-Win lets you do complex stuff fast, and Nero lets you do easy stuff fast.
