I have an extra 80 gb hard drive.
Should I install it in my new system and run 2 drives?
Drop it in an usb 2.0 external enclosure and use it that way?
I plan to keep my music, photos, video, etc on it.
WHich makes more sense?
Thanks.

I'd stick it inside if you have the extra IDE slot and it's not too much of a hassle to cram it in your case.
I've run HDs off external firewire cases and found the data transfer rate isn't always consistent enough for digital video playback. But on an IDE cable it was usually ok. At least that was my experience. Haven't used USB, and dunno if you're doing video anyway. If you just want to move files around or play music I doubt it matters much.

If you have another PC or a network, I would go with the external, especially if you have Firewire 800 available. You can then transfer tons of stuff really easily or hook the drive up to the network through a seperate drive server.
But If you only have one computer, I'd put it in the case.
