http://www.chait.net/index.php?p=504Normally I wouldn't touch a Dell product, but you gotta admit, this LCD looks sweet. I don't like the audio bar thingy either, but the good news is, it's removable. Notice the S-Video-in there... That means I can ditch my crappy TV. And it's only $800, and knowing Dell and their crazy coupons, I could probably get this for $600 or so. I'm seriously considering buying this.

I wonder if that's supposed to replace the current 20.1" monitor they sell hereThis one does 1600x1200 (albeit at 60Hz) and it has S-Video input (as well as analog and DVI) so it's not clear to me why you'd want this new one over the existing one.

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

One of the hot deals on gotapex.com today is this lcd monitor. They have it listed for 634.15 shipped. Not bad at all. I wonder how the s-video in looks on this thing when connected to an xbox???

I'll continue to build my own computers, but I've found them to be pretty darn good for the money for family and friends.

It says " Apple fanboi".

Your link to the apple store dont work (session timeout). I wouldn't buy one myself as I build my own PC's (just bought an iMac G4 though, cant really build one yourself), however I have been reccomending Dell PC's to replace systems I built for family members to replace systems I built for them just so I dont have to be the support guy when anything goes wrong. -Tony

What will non widescreen games look like on this monitor? Would they look wierd or would they just have a black bar on each side of the screen?

$719$1299Same monitor, I lovesor apple! [edit ok then switched it up to amazon] Uhhh... did you even read the thread? Or realize that I'm the one who started the thread? I'm well aware of the price difference, and that's why I'm interested in this monitor. I mentioned my Apple fanboyism because Eco-Logic asked why I normally wouldn't touch a Dell product. It's because they're PCs, ugly ones too. Note that I never agrued that YOU should not touch a Dell product, so don't even bother to counter-argue.
