Windows 7 license across multiple machines?

I think I ran across this issue with another install I did recently, but did Windows 7 end the ability to spread a single license across multiple computers? I believe when you try to install it requires you to register within 30 days. I know my old XP licences specified 2 CPUs.

The family pack allows 3 instances. They don't count CPUs.
