Need comp advice: urgent

I hope the mods will alllow this question to remain in the general forum. I have to do an emergency upgrade, and I need as many CG'ers to see this as possible.

I need a new power supply - immediately. Mine is on it's last legs.

My system

P4 3.2 (800 fsb)
512 ddr 333 ram (soon to be one gig)
radeon 9700 pro (will upgrade to a 6800 sometime next year)

I've used Sparkle (SPI) and Antec and have had no problems with either.  They are both rock solid and dependable and the Antec is highly rated for home gaming use.  The Sparkle is used in a lot of server cases so it's long lived and also very stable.  If you get an Antec them make sure it's a "TRUE" model and not the cheaper model.   If you're getting a 6800 later on then I would go with a 430-500 watt at a minimum so you don't have to upgrade later...I have a TRUE430 and a 6800 GT and have no problems or voltage dips.

I have an Antec Truepower 430 (see here) and it's rock solid.  If you can afford the $100, get the 550 model.  Antec power supplies are so worth the money you spend.

I like Antec's power supplies personally; I've got the TruPower 430 in one system and a 350W one in another - complaints.  And the NeoPower sounds cool - like to try it out.

I also have an Antec Trupower 430, runs quiet and is impressively beefy with lots of connectors, I like it.

Another vote for Antec as a whole. I have two right now, one that's 5 years old (!) and another that I just put in my current system.

The one Antec is the only one I've ever had that didn't die after a couple of years.
